  • I for one am pleasantly surprised by a few of these. Thanks for sharing. This turned into more of learning experience than I expected.

  • Funny. This program has nearly every single amp wrong.

Hendrix never used Orange. He used Marshall Plexis.
Eddie Van Halen never used the Fender (white) 5150 on any of his albums, he used modded Plexis.
Master of Puppets was made using a Mesa Mark IIC+ preamps and JCM800 heads, not a Mesa Rectifier (treadplate) amp.
Red Hot Chili Peppers were using Marshalls, not Fender Deluxe amps.
Jimmy Page used Supro amps in studio, but Whole Lotta Love used Vox Super Beatle amps.
Steve Vai uses Carvin amps, not Mesas.

  • I always miss the "Still got the blues" Moore and Dimebag's tones. Definetely desrve to be there on the list to make it a round 10. Also Jimmy Page's "Whole Lotta love" would've been great.

  • My Greatest Tone List: Whole Lotta Love Solo, Brian May’s harmony leads and huge cords, SRV’s tone., David Gilmore’s Run and Another Brick Solo, EVH’s You Really Got Me intro / Eruption / Best of Both Worlds / 5150, Jump Solo, Alex Lifeson’s Limelight Intto and solo / His clean Middletown Dreams cords and solo that compression those two cords after “some bright afternoon” are so so good, The Edge’s Joshua Tree, Joe Walsh’s Funk 49, Metallica’s Sandman and Battery, Slash’s Paradise City and Sweet Child O Intro and solo, Yngwie’s fiery preamp that’s clean yet sustains like its saturated. Imagine being able to have all of those tones in one device.

  • Anyone know exactly which tonecloud presets he used for these. It was only the Hendrix one that we could see the username Rhomi. Are people just using the one with the most downloads?
