Err.. Why no mention of the THIRD album Zender played on "Travelling without moving?"
And "Virtual insanity" is NOT from the "Space Cowboy" album.
STANK FACE CITY ????
Stuart is THE reason why I learned bass guitar.
Check the Jaco of salsa. Salvador Cuevas with Ruben Blades, La Fania All Star, Willie Colon.
JAMIROQUAI ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Both of these albums were incredible, and still they are. Zender was the one
Check out Zenders sublime playing on Samuel Purdy – Lucky Radio.
Que tarde vi esto… Esta tan lejos para mi ese bajo :(… Genial video!
Thanks for that great video!
I like to see one about the genius of Sam Rivers
you ave to listen dirty loop bass player
Break down Mark King please.
great video on the genius of Stuart Zender! Just a small correction: Deeper Underground is not in Space Cowboy. It was done for the Godzilla feature film and later included in Syncronized.
no pdf ?
Greatest British bass player of the 90s. Also worth checking out Neil Corcoran who was the bass player for an acid jazz band called Mother Earth. He was as technical and intricate as Stuart
I looove Zender!! And we need to talk about Sharay Reed…
Constant STANK face????
who's to say that Jay maybe singing over Stuart's melody instead? Just like Alex Katunich his bass playing is missed
Bass faces all the way through…. Zender effect!
Stu is the bassist who gave me the flame for bass :). Traveling without moving bass line… popopopoo and all of his bass lines before that !!!! For the 1st album he was playing since 2/3 years and was 18/19 !!! LEGENDARY !! All of the 4th albums basslines are master pieces.
"Time Won't Wait" one of my favorite bass lines.
Please get Stuart on the show in person or remote on zoom or something!
Me alegraron el día!!! Que gran video! Saludos desde Argentina!!
13:08 i was just thinking how that kind of lick is something i wouldve done when i was 17. You nailed it.
Too bad they had a falling out after recording Syncronized…i hope one day they can reunite…and squash the beef
The guy was a genius. So glad you've made this. Please do Colin Greenwood next. Another legend x.
❤ Stuart Zender
I believe it was actually Nick van Gelder who played drums on the first album
I love these vids! I was listening to Sly Stone "I get high on you" and thought this is a clear influence on Jamiroquai… would be great to see you covering that song.
Half an hour of smiling while watching this video. My face hurts haha. Amazing. Thank you guys! ❤
Great Video on Stuart Zender ????✌️???? .. but I've never hear you guys mention Philadelphia's Ronnie Baker a Legendary Bassist of Disco with Gamble and Huff ???????????? Thanks ????✌️????????????????
My favourite bassline is 'When You Gonna Learn' but the guy from Brand New Heavies wrote that not Stuart. Awesome player though.
Mark King.
AZUR (unreleased) songs are amazing too!!!!! Long life to Mr.Zender
I remember waiting outside the Junction in Cambridge for one of Jamiroquai's first concerts, funny thing is the band turned up in a red Ford XR2, guess that was sold soon after.
Brilliant guys…I did see Stuart on that first album tour. This is a really great focus on his incredible talent.
