  • I would like to try two phasers to get a stereo sound. One from the onboard on the solina and second one from a pedal fx .I haven't tried it yet and I am wondering what would be the best way to go about.

  • I've been wanting to get the Solina for a while to go with my Prophet 10 and my Behringer VC340. However, budget troubles have delayed my purchase, eventhough it doesn't really cost that much. I'll get one eventually. I want that Lm Drum too!

BTW, I use the software Solina in my MPC Key 37. You're right. It is very different from the hardware in a digital kinda way.

  • It does sound great and there is merit in having an instrument for a purpose. I was tempted to get this and the syncussion to replace and occupy the space where my volcas sit, but I need to ignore the GAS as I have spent so much on my "hobby" already.

  • Can someone tell me what the black unit on the right with the small screen is? The one being used to sequence in the jam at the end. Thanks

  • I agree. I just pucked one up a few months ago and have been enjoying it. I like that it has infinite divide down polyphony. ….just subbed to your channel. Fun place!

  • Have the solina and love it! Running it through the Behringer Biphaser is just delicious????????

  • I love hardware synths, but I'd never spend hundreds of dollars on a solina. I hardly even use the free one that comes with the mpc. Just not a lot going on with it. Even you said you had It for a year and never used it for a song. So, yea

  • Pricewise the Solina is really a great recreation. I've also got the original Eminent 310 Unique with the EH Small Stone, and i have to say that Behringer did a great job. You'll hear some difference when played side by side, but in a mix and after EQ…. good luck????

A must have for the JMJ-lovers

  • Disco? Most mainstream disco used real strings. The Arp Solina String ensemble was mostly used in funk, but Its on Todd Rundgren, Pink Floyd, Gino Vanelli, Edgar Winter , Gary Wright's "Dream Weaver" tracks, and even was used as underscore music in Charlie's Angels original TV series and lots of horror suspense shows/movies. I have to say its sounds pretty accurate, which buried in the track most probably wouldn't know its not the vintage Solina. IMO it also sounds great thru a Leslie. The Omnisphere samples are spot on too, but obviously no dedicated controls and options, yet VERY high resolution.

  • Behringer makes cheap toy clones for nostalgic minded people who listen with their eyes.

  • The lower register is the most rich, thick, textured analog keyboard sound there is IMHO. I bought a Behringer Solina to use as a gold standard to test all other synths against that are supposed to sound analog.

  • I have one and can't believe how awesome it is, hitting the bottom C note is an eargasm. I'd love to see Behringer expand the capabilities of the Solina with another octave or two, velocity, and aftertouch (if that's doable).

  • How can something that is a blatant copy of the 1974 ARP Solina String Ensemble be "one of a kind"?????? ????

  • I personally use the one on my MPC when I was the sound of a Solina. Sounds very good – I have thought of buying a Behringer unit, but nah… I mean really if it was a $50 mini Version there would be no question, I’d buy one(which should still be able to have all the abilities, I mean really…)

  • I have a lot of Behringer stuff, but don't yet have the Solina. I've always loved the sound of the Solina and do intend to get one.
