The Best Guitar Amp I’ve Ever Owned (Two Rock)

HUGE thank you to Eli from Two-Rock for building me this amp about a year ago, I never thought I would own a Two-Rock, and how special this amp is isn’t lost on me.

Two-Rock is without a doubt one of the most legendary modern amp companies, and I’ve finally gotten the chance to live with one for about a year now after many years of not fully understanding the hype. It’s quickly become one of my favorite amps for almost every musical situation, it’s a true workhorse amp. In today’s video I’m going to walk you through the full feature set of my Two-Rock Classic Reverb Signature, and show how truly versatile it can be.

  • This is interesting because I've seen an amp just like this float around Atlanta over the last few years. First at Rightouse and then at the GC not far from there…very $$$, even used.

  • I mean, yes it’s expensive, but have you seen the price of Dumbles??…… if you ever get that chance?
This is an amplifier you buy and keep for life.

  • Great guitar work for the intro (of course), but what caught my ear was the bass fills. 🙂

  • bro just make an album already ???? the intro tracks are too good the entire comments section agrees. its hard work but it might rly pay off

  • too many knobs/switches and features for my slow brain. i prefer amps that do one thing and do it well ????

  • For the money, I could (& did) buy a vintage ‘59 tweed Bassman. The hype around those is real. Greatest amp I’ve ever played, let alone owned, both for guitar and bass.

  • Honestly, I did not hear anything spectacular about the tone? I think the Hiwatt behind him would blow that amp away. But to each their own, I don't think I will be running out to spend 8K or more on a Two Rock

  • The real question is, would you have one if you had to pay for it? There is a big difference between paying 7 grand for an amp and having someone give it to you. Even if you have the disposable income. I have multiple guitars that cost as much as a 100w Two Rock, but there are so many options for great amps at a fraction of that price, it still seems a little silly to buy one.

  • Great amp but who needs 100 watts or 50 for that matter? Previously owned one but sold to buy a Bludotone SSD 50/25 watt which IMO is a superior amp.

  • This amp does sound great. I own a peavey bandit so idk why I’m even watching this. I could sell my car and barely pay for it. I’m not a basement dwelling bum either, I’m a middle school teacher ????. These amps sound great from what I hear and I ain’t gonna knock it and go all working class hero in the chat either. It’s just ridiculously expensive. Thanks for sharing this with us.

  • Rhett, Can this amp (Two-Rock Classic Reverb 100/50) be played at bedroom levels? Thanks.

  • Watching again, you've improved my sound 200%. I've struggled with unpleasant fizzle, but lowering amp gain and guitar volume or changing pedal settings did nothing. So, I increased the amp gain and lowered the master, the fizzle is gone! Someone in the know can explain this wizardry.

  • The whole too expensive slam is kinda skewed if you look at it. Think of it this way. If you go to a restaurant and pay 30.00 for a hamburger dinner but you say "I would definitely eat there again!" Or you pay 2.00 for a burger at the gas station and say "that was pure garbage. I just wasted 2 bucks!" It's not about the dollar amount. It's about what you feel you're getting for spending it. In this case I'd say the two dollar burger was the expensive one. Two rock amps cost a lot. So be it. It's a nice product. That's the logistical reality of a no holds barred made in USA product. Rett Didn’t ask for one and in reality two rock probably lost money on it. Stop being salty about it. I'm tired of this overgrown child mentality going around lately. You want a nice amp? Save up and buy one. You can get it if you put in the effort. I have a whole lot more respect for the guy who works his butt off for two years and earns one than some crybaby mad because he didn't get one for free.

  • Craftsmanship costs , by a Volkswagen if you need a commuter, this amp is a jewel and if you can afford it than buy one , i got one shipped to Thailand nearly a decade ago and i drag it to beach clubs and enjoy every single time

  • Great video and playing, Rhett. In this video you mentioned using mic pre-amps. Any chance of a video on those ? Always see people using them but don’t know what difference they make

  • the intro is the best 70's film soundtrack anthem i have ever heard – you need to send it to Tarentino's synch agent!

  • Two Rock's are really special.
I know the sticker shock gets some people, but they make an excellent product, and you can say that about every single product that they make.

  • Pardon the shameless plug Rhett but I have a mint Two-Rock Bloomfield 40/20 head on consignment at Walt Grace Vintage in Miami. Love that amp but we live in a townhome now and it's like driving a Lamborghini in a parking lot.

  • That first track you were playing… major 70’s vibes with late night radio soul stations. Are these tracks available someplace to buy/download?

By the end of the video, I completely got it with this amp. It sounds amazing! You make a great case for it!

  • Love the vid—especially your tracks. Totally agree that they’re next level! Also agree that the Two-Rock isn’t forgiving—it’s super high-fi. There’s a Jet 35 at my music school. Miss that thing (not there anymore)—loved practicing with my Strat on it when I could.
