  • Stratocaster’s are ugly. I never really cared for them, but I would really love a tele if they make one of hello kitty

  • I always assumed Squiers were crap and/or inferior to MIM Fenders. That changed about 5 years ago when I picked up a 2018 Squier contemporary HSS strat in pearl white metallic with a black pickguard. As for the overall look, think Jake E Lee's strat, or Schon's "Nights" strat (which he sold). Great guitar with a 12" radius rosewood board (I think the last Squier model to have a rosewood board), pickups sound good, non locking trem and stays in tune well. I did add locking tuners. The fret work is perfect, level, no sharp ends. I love that guitar and I play it all the time. So after I bought that one and got my feet wet with Squier I went ahead and picked up the Squier Contemporary HH FR strat in gun metal blue with a roasted maple neck with a 12" radius. Beautiful guitar and again perfect fret work. The frets are level, no sharp ends, pickups sounds fine. I've checked out a bunch of post 2020 MIM Fenders and Charvels and the QC was horrible. The fret work I've seen on many of those is dogsh*t. In fact I bought a 2022 San Dimas and I returned the first one due to horrendous QC and I had to get a replacement. I still had to do some fret work on the replacement but I got it new for 30% off so I did the work myself. I tell people learn how to fix things yourself and more importantly work on your playing and you can make even the cheapest guitar sound good. More expensive definitely doesn't mean better quality with some brands.

  • Cool guitar, was thinking about purchasing one for an long term investment but just not sure if it will be worth money 15-20 yrs from now or not. I think Hello Kitty may go out of fashion in the future because the kitty face really has no character to it really. Kind of a stale image. In other words, we seem to be living in a 'bad art' era which could turn around one day.

  • The volume pot is prob fine. Kramers had same problem on their 1 pickup cheapy, and it was the treble bleed circuit. The capacitor wired to the pot, guys just clipped them off and the pot worked right. See if it has one on there.

  • Another channel had a Live Chat. A Live Chat comment was " too crappy for experienced, too expensive for beginner. "
In the comment section, I agreed. -It's Paint and Pickguard. I think its too expensive to gift a child, and as an Adult,
I would want a limited number made, and not made in China.. Please let me know if I am thinking wrong about this
    particular guitar.
