Modern-day Squiers are honestly really good, I have a classic vibe Jaguar which just feels like a Fender and a Mustang with humbuckers that feels incredibly light and nice to play 🙂

I love the 7.25” radius necks! My first guitar was a ‘65 jaguar and I miss that curve. It won’t bottom out on the bends with a good setup either.
I have two mint condition made in Japan 1985 model black Fender Katana's, one even appeared in one of my official music film clips for my 2010 album release. There are many items on this re issue that are different to the original 1985-86 models, it has lost that aggressive look it had back in the day. The original issue never had a scratch plate, a cover over the bridge, the input jack plate should be chrome not black and the volume knobs were a different style to name just a few things. After the 85-86 run in Japan Fender gave licence to Mexico to make a dirty cheap version of both the bass and guitar, again they lost a lot of the original hardware and look of the Japanese releases. When it comes to the colours, back in the day the Katana was never released in shell pink. They are a very unbalanced Bass and to play an entire gig with, it is almost impossible, it's ok for a few songs or as a back up bass but you wouldn't want to use it as your Number 1, it is a novelty Bass for on stage but if you have an original they do sound great in the studio.

I just inherited an 84 MIJ Squier. Definitely good quality for a budget guitar. 5-11-84 built date. I’m enjoying it. Plus I like the Telecaster style head.
