Rumor has it I was conceived to an Alice In Chains riff (unknown) in the back of a ‘95 Caprice
Sabbath tone w more power?
Whats the riff from 3:12? I recognize it im just having a brain fart and cant remember the name!
I finally got my hands on one, with the factory added resonance knob by Dave (it’s a must IMO, because it helps shape the bass in different cab/speaker setups). The tone is perfect, the sound I wanted and needed, even after all the years of hype and watching videos while dreaming of having one. I love my JCMs/ENGL/KSR/SLO/Uberschall for death metal and OSDM, but this is THE dream amp for everything else, and definitely boosted will do death metal. I cannot recommend it more or thank Jerry and Dave enough for making the JJ-100. Tone quest over; I found my holy grail.
It is as clear as a daylight that if it had been other way ‘round, Jerry passing instead of Layne, there would not be no more AIC.
God bless Layne, but it’s Jerry all the way…
By the way, I remember when Kirk Windstein said that there’s no need to go fast to be heavy. Actually it’s quite the opposite. Truest damn words ever spoken.
That mf'r sounds so good!!
He is such a great guitarist and a great guy
Jerry is the SRV of Metal to me. There are more technical players out there, but no one I can think of plays heavy riffs and solos with such soul.
Very saturated.
Surprised to see him play Sludge Factory. Wow and Again. Hitting some notes from the self titled. Love it!
SOLD!
This tone god damned!!!!! This tone!!!! Holy f$ck!!!
with the exception of Jimmy Page & EVH, Jerry is the greatest riff master in rock…he really cranks out the gems, and he's such a brilliant songwriter.
Dude has some eyeball blasting guitars ????
Jerry without long hair
Imposter detected
PHAT
3:44 I've been waitin for that one ^^. Great amp!
That was f**** Rad
I'm pretty sure his tone comes from at least two amps
GODURIAAAAA
Why does his guitar have measles tho
Keep on Rockin' Jerry, One of my favorite guitarists.
what pickups are in his g&l rampage and Les Paul?
it sounds huge, like double tracked HUGE, am i listening wrong?
I'm glad you did the sound demo with him and not someone else! It sounds awesome!
Jerry in the Smokebox
Tight
That sounds killer
Is this guy Terry from Dad Band???????
Every time I hear this it blows my mind. Tight and saturated like that. Dave has great ears.
Once again you see an in discolored skin gives you away…
I think the term "heavy as balls" fits in here nicely.
Sweet
I cant take jerry with short hair man … so glad he grew it back
My next purchase
It's the bass player from Dad Band!
Damnit, could listen for ever to sir Cantrell's riffing. What a growling narly tone!
Holy shit, I had no idea that was Jerry till he said so lol.
Cantrell is a bad ass
Incredible sound. Incredible musician.
The irony and hypocrisy here is not lost on me. Here is Mr. Grunge, who in the past put SOOO much effort into avoiding flash/glam/image playing sparkly, flashy guitars and wearing earrings, when the grunge era made fun of the fine musicians who came before grunge, who were flashy on top being incredibly talented. Unbelievable.
And that's all you need to know people..
I'm sure the amp is fantastic, but lets' just ignore the $5000 rack full of gear that the signal is travelling through before the amp!
My absolutely favorite guitar player of all time and most underrated ever. Screw all that yngvay malmsteen or whatever his name is crap. Jerry has the best tone and plays with the most feel and it shows.
Saw him live front row 1993…he literally blew me away. Made playing look so fun and easy. One of my all time favorite guitarists.
Yep!!!!
Friedman and JJ are both monsters
