What do you think of Prince's funk? Check out Prince play that funky music white boy
Nice one. Thank you.
Hot damn, why have I never seen this done before?! I mainly listen to rock/punk/metal, this seems like it'd be ideal for those genres, being able to swap between fingers and this for some better chugging on the lows would surely sound great? I know what I'm practicing shortly… cheers!
That was not only funky but very informative. Chic And Bernard Edward's were tops.
Love the Shake!
Funky
I promise, that’s the way I have played since discovering Mr. Larry Graham way back….. I also use no pick when playing my Strat…. Years ago, I used (sometimes still do!) to play my bass with a pick on everything…. until I played Beale Street in Memphis…… blues walk requires zero pick. Cool tutorial video! Method Invented by whom when? Ha! I’ve been doing this since 1979 when I first began playing bass. A ‘79 Rickenbacker 4001!! Jam on bro!! Great video!
Well.. I subscribed

Are you using a compressor pedal or perhaps a little bit of reverb? Just love the tone you've got going on and wanna know how you're getting it!

Thanks for another great video! I’m a finger player. However, for this particular technique, isn’t it easier just to use a pick instead? ????
Great details on chucking!
Damn, you packed more info in a minute, than most people do in 10 minutes. Straight to the point!
