  • I subscribed a couple of years ago, when I first found your channel…. and I also "like" ALL your video's…. especially your country lessons. I also clicked on the "Notification" bell…… and in Two (2) years…. I have NEVER been notified when you have a new video release. Anyway…. you Bass lessons are The BEST, and have helped me out Immensely in getting back to the bass, after having Not played since I was 18 years old….. I am now, 75 years "young".

I would Love it, if you could do a few videos on bass lines for Western Swing. Thank you, Alan for all you do to help Bass & Potential Bass Players, all over the world. I'm in Montana, USA.

  • The real game changer is a hat. You gotta have a good hat to play good bass.

  • This is really frustrating. If you want to teach, you need to learn how to write how you play. You are playing with rests that are not written. You are NOT playing what is written. Please fix this.

  • Do you have a suggestion for a country bass rig? Been playing for a few years, but I’m looking to buy myself a set up, preferably a 5 string

  • As you say in the intro of the video. This is very important to master for a bass player. Even for an oldtimer like me, I still do basic rehearsals like this to sharpen my "right-note-at-right-time" skills.

  • Always appreciate your videos and getting back to basics is refreshing. Most of us playing bass are not nor are we trying to be like Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller or Les Claypool.
