Folks – I tried something new today. I figured it would be fun to take 2 amps into the outdoors, and crank the piss out of them! I was curious about a few things.
1) How do these amps sound when outside? Full, Big, Round?
2) Can I hear the difference between the 20w and the 50w?
3) Can I hear the difference between the EL84 and the 6L6 Tubes?
Anyway – it was a science project for me! I hope you dig it!

I'm surprised at how beefy the 20 watt sounds at a distance. Yeah, the 50 has more low end balls, but I could be happy with the 20 watter. Nice comparison.

yes, I do. bigger sound and fuller sound on the 6l6 50 w .. but tone-wise ,i prefer the el84.. sound
Great demo. Those ValveKing amps both sound very nice outdoors. I would choose the 50 watt version myself.
I'll take the 50 watt one because of it's headroom.
I'm Lucky I live out in the sticks, I crank my amps & the neighbors can hear it but at a distance & they'll text me to turn it up! Then at my dads with my deluxe reverb & anything above 4 & I get dirty looks & sometimes yells from the neighbors

I think the 50 watt sounds fuller – Outdoors. Cool demo with exacting comparisons. I watched another demo and had the same conclusion. Indoor I have the same conclusion – I have a 1 watt DSL 6L6 Marshall and a 40 watt Marshall EL34. The 40 watt Marshall has fuller tones – Even at lower man cave volumes. Another big difference, the 12" speakers in these set ups are different vintage 30, and Celestion Gold respectively. BTW the 1 watt is impressive.

50 sounds fuller to me, that's why I would choose it over the 20W; it's not about the loudness, it's about of "how" it sounds at a lower volume. Nice testing, thanks a lot!!
