I'm too grateful for the presence of this video;
I really really really wanted to practice fucking 12 hours a day and I mean it.
I want to learn Ichika's techniques and atmosphere-building, as well as his overall songwriting;
Then developing my style based from his style. (Adding especially groovy licks as an ex-drummer)
The tips here are super good. I might want to just split the 12 hours a day into 1 hour a day. Thanks for the video. You’re a great teacher.
So much good information in this video
When I finally got serious and started putting in 3-5 hours per day/every other day, I really noticed the improvement. Scales, fretboard mastery, finger exercises and tune after tune. Absolute NOTHING substitutes for hard hours of practice. But boy it's worth it! You do us all a great service Sir! Thank You for your time and effort to bring us these videos and share your knowledge. We, at least I, am In your debt. Best Regards and Best Wishes for 2023!
*now if I can just keep the dogs and cat from interrupting every 15 minutes…*
My practice routine: play along to SoundCloud for hours and maybe force myself to do finger exercises if I can
Dude this shit is gold.
Wow !! 12 hours of practice, that’s (mad) dedication. I understand the obvious benefit from practising hard though I often find that some downtime helps embed the learning (maybe that’s the other 12 hours in each day ????). The standout point for me in your video is the one about composing your own music, no matter how basic or complex, it’s turning your learning in to self expression. A great video, it’s very clear that you care.
So much good information in this video and it all make sense. Thank you so much Andre????
Do you think people want to see what you do to warm up before a show? Do you do the same warmup before you play at home?
0:59 Warmups
1:35 Scales
4:25 Music Theory
6:55 Learning Songs
7:37 Song Analysis
9:19 Composition
10:24 Production
This is inspiring, now I want to practice!
I would like to ask something:
When I would learn the CAGED system, I wouldn’t need to memorize hundreds of chords from books, right?
I need a break or my hands cramp up. This is especially true for flute for extended periods. Yikes. ????
