One small correction
Our Indian classical tone sa re ga ma are different from western tone
The difference lies in the pitch
Western tones are also called as ditonic intervel where their is TTSTTTS
But in classcal music it's different, here we play ra tone at black and sa at white
In western black is referred to as Sharp and white referred to as Flat note????????????
I always remebrr as 'ga' and 'ma' are always together.. 'sa' and 'ni' are alwsy together… You can play major scale on any note on any instrument!!!

For major scale start counting notes from –
1 2 34 5 6 71 (here notes 34 & 71 have half steps and the others whole step)
For minor scale start counting from –
6 71 2 34 5 6
