  • I’ve had mine for about a year and I still have a lot to learn about this pedal

  • People need to start using Spectors, Dingwalls, etc. No Darkglass users play these fender crap slabs….

  • Where I put the FX like delay and reverb??? After Cab??? ???????????? and the FX post Drive??? Before the comp? ????????????

  • Hi Patrick. Would you know? if you cycle through the pre loaded presets that the volume is balanced between them all? Many thanks Paul

  • touchscreen sliders? no thanks. That's just a failure point for a live gigging pedal.

  • I'm an intermediate bass player who just ordered this pedal over the new Ampeg SGT-DI. I can instantly recognize this pedal has WAY more options than I will know how to utilize. With that being said, and regardless of whether or not I'm taking a lesson, I get frustrated and play less when I can't dial in that awesome bass tone I hear on my favorite albums. I can hear a close representation of them all on the preset sounds the Infinity has to offer. I currently own the Vintage Deluxe v3 and Alpha Omicron pedals. I expect this will replace both of them, but maybe not. I'm not a professional player who has a gig every weekend and never will be. We'll see what happens.

  • I just picked one of these. Admittedly I have only played with it for a few minutes, but I cant seem to get drive to do anything at all. All of the presets are basically clean, and adding drive does nothing.

  • I got the Microtubes Infinity but I’m trying to get that Muse – Hysteria kinda fuzz sound, can that be achieved? Or can I just add like a fuzz before the Infinity as a Fuzz > Microtubes Infinity? Seems like the signal chain seems to be all self contained and no loop to add say a chorus or octave, or am I misunderstanding it?

  • It is a sponsored video and you are an endorser. So nobody expects a neutral opinion. So be honest about and don’t try to make excuses. Let us just watch as an advertisement and enjoy your playing.

  • I'm struggling to translate settings from the darkglass B7U to the Infinity. I know that the infinity is based on the B3K and not the B7U, but I feel like I can't even get close to the tone I dialed in on the B7U…

  • First of, thank you so much for this informative video.

Can you please tell me how you would combine the microtubes infinity with other pedals? Would you put a flanger, chorus or octaver in front of the microtubes infinity?

  • Awesome demo, Patrick! ???????????????? I personally like this preamp and I’m really intrigued by the vintage microtubes settings. Especially since I’m a huge fan of the vintage series from darkglass. I would definitely consider buying the darkglass infinity if I ever needed a new preamp pedal.

  • Thank you for bringing up criticism.
Good thing this "how often can we sell you the same thing over and over" is not more widespread. Or Line6 would bring out a separate new Helix for every new amp model. Jesus Christ.

  • My only complaint is that they didn't release this one at the same time as the Alpha Omega Photon. I got the Photon and it's tremendous. But I probably would have gotten this one instead if it was available at the time.

  • I bought an Alpha Omicron and a Hyper Luminal a few years back and it has done me well, so why do I always feel like the money is dropping out of my wallet when I watch these videos.

  • darkglass is saying in some parts the infinity supposedly also has the X circuit as well but there is no mention of this in manual and the fact you dont mention it either (and i know your review vids well you cover everything) only confirms what i thought there is no X circuit like they were claiming. despite the above i still think it sounds like a really great pedal from darkglass and im indeed thinking of buying. thanks for the great reviews pat!!

  • Thanks for the review!
As you said, there’s a steep learning curve. Have you found any resources to help in better understanding the pedal, as the manual is extremely brief? Got my Infinity yesterday, and I’m definitely overwhelmed.

  • Im numb…
Just put all the DG pedals in one box. Like HX stomp..

I wanna be positive it looks like they just keep crappin out new-er-ish pedals that have "SUPER COOL NEW FEATURES" , which are rehashed pedals combined together. Oh, plus IRs..

    Ok. Im Oprah…
    You get a mooer ge200 , YOU get a mooer ge200…

Im cheap, i use it, i like it..

Props for saying what i was thinking. They need to move on and start making bigger steps than this…

  • Fancy showing us what clean bass sounds through this? Unpopular opinion, Not a fan of driven bass, love a really clear, clean tone.

  • Hi Patrick,
Does Microtubues Infinity has hi pass and low pass options like on Microtubes X7? Those were really important to me.

    Reply
  • Hey Patrick, just curious, do you run or mix your signals differently then compared to a few years ago? Just seems like I could hardly hear the dirty side of this, even when the pedals blend was set on the higher side. No judgement or putdown, just curiosity.
