The NUX Mighty 60 MK2 is Here! My Review & Tutorial Guide

Welcome to my review and tutorial guide of the NUX Mighty 60 MK2. The Mighty 60 MKII is the largest of NUX’s new practice amplifiers and features a range of effects and amp models while sounding great. It is similar to the boss Katana but has a different interface and price point.

  • did you figure out how to save presets on this on the amp? i can only work out how to save changes via the app ,which is a pain.

  • the mvave chocolate plus does scene/preset changing wirelessly out of this box with this amp!!!! connects to the bluetooth adapter.

  • I can’t shake my head hard enough when people complain about advanced technology. God forbid anything change. If this said Fender on the front and had a tube in it somewhere all these get off my lawn whiners would love it.
Let them lug those 60 pound amps and all the pedals they need to a sound good. I’ll save both my money and my back and enjoy this amp. Just like I enjoy my iPhone relative to my old rotary phone bolted to the wall.

  • I bought a Nux mighty lite bt and loved the sounds. My issue is the volume. I could not control it, no matter how I went. I used internal settings, amp settings, you name it. I boxed it and got a headrush core. No comparison. Absolutely love that thing. You want the sound then you can make it or find it.

  • ….You’ve heard the legend, now Watch clips from a 1993 TV special featuring Pete Traynor showing how to properly throw an amp off the roof….

  • I would say you have some of the best tone of any guitar and guitar gear review channel…even with the youtube compression you still get a decent sound…kudos to you!!!

  • These guitar gear that rely in the usage of computer software or phone apps to extract all of its potential worry me. Will I be able to use these in full potential 10 years from now? And 20 years from now? It seems silly to worry about such a distant future, but guitars, amps, and pedals are between the few things that are not made to be trashed in a few years. There are guitars, amps, and pedals that are 50 years old and still sound great today. I don't like the way everything is being turned into smartphones. Every guitar gear that is digital, in some way, is made to last way less than the analog devices. In some way, I feel safer buying the old reliable guitar pedals and simpler guitar amps that don't rely on digital technology. Specially if the interface is not 100% contained in the device itself. If you have a POD2.0, the sounds may not sound as perfect as the devices being released today, but, at least, you can still access all of it's sound just clicking on its interface.

  • Had the mighty 20 for a couple of years thanks to you shaneo and it was a bloody good little amp, fortunately I recently scored a valve king 112 and a champion 100 and I really don't need another amp now, maybe…. ???????? cheers from Geelong shaneo.
    Go swans tomorrow!!!!

  • From YT "review/Advertisement" videos I didn't like the 20 MKII (8") at all, this one does sound good, I haven't used that many amps and I'm a home user but my impression regarding speaker size are, 8" open back don't have that good of a sound, lack bass, 12" too much, So my next amp will be 10", alternative option is a multi effect unit with studio speakers, 6.5" or 8" is the "hot spot"for me, I'm between MG400 and MG30, MG30 better specs but kinda old, don't want to buy it only for them to release new unit after a month, now I'll probably add the Mighty 40 MKII as an option too.

  • Those high gain tones sound terrible. Not one of the most enthusiastic demo reviews I've ever seen. Glenn might say it sounds like fried ass!

  • Great review and straight down to it as usual. I'm not sure what it is about this amp a bit I just don't really like it.

  • I use a NUX MG-30 for my EQ and modulation/reverbs/delay effects on my pedalboard, and it's fantastic. Every Katana competitor so far has had a fatal flaw that keeps it from being truly great; this might have a chance to play on Boss's level. Great tones!

  • I have the Mighty Space amp and love it. Interested in that speaker, for the 30 watt speaker out in the M. S. especially if it’s 4 0hms. How long is the loop time? And is the FX loop moveable? Of course it is I just it in the block. One more ? How’s the Mono Octave? If it has one. Mine sucks.
