  • Yes, I want MIDI (through USB C one presumes) plus I'd like infinite reverbs (for pads), a freeze (again for pads or playing over, so basically an instant looper) and tap tempo (I'm assuming it doesn't have that) for the drum machine, delay, tremolo etc.
Also I'm told there's no bypass switch so you can play straight through to the amp (so you can use it like any other pedal).

  • Reading elitist comments is hilarious. I appreciate engineering for the forrest, not the trees. That nam sounded crap, but overall this is going to be awesome for my synths and drum machines. And definitely usable as a space saving multieffects.

  • I am waiting for Tank Pro (Blackbox with Looper and capabilities to store more profiles)or MK300 depending on price. I’m Looking at 2 different options now. The Valeton GP 5 (anyone remember coral amp trash?) and the Harley Benton GNA git core or and Ge150 variant. I feel I already have this for free with GE labs but the 80 sec looper has Me ????. Please help Me! I need more rigs! ANN AMX profiles please! Tell Me how!

  • hey, thanks for the video.
I've been 'survailing' this one for a while now. But i'll wait for the MIDI implementation.
I hope you make another video when they do that update.

Are you able to tell me what are the different meters for the drum/metronome?
    I am looking for odd stuff… like 5/8 , 7/8 .. 11/8 .

    thanks again

  • DAC will absolutely not explain the tonal difference. As someone has pointed out, the device seems to run at 44.1Khz, but most captures are for 48Khz. The "darker" tone is a result of running the model at a lower samplerate.

  • NAM @ 2:47
    PMaster @ 3:21

Noise to signal ratio makes the difference, if you use a decent noise gate and Adjust the eq before you upload it inside the pocket then it will match. Don't ask too much for a $60-$70 IR and capture loader, if you really want something better and will give you confidence live. Get a NDSP nano or something.

  • When you set it up as an interface did you make audio adjustments inside the Pocket Master. As there is a menu specific for this. Im wonding if your were clipping?

  • You need to improve your skills in doing ab comparisons. I'm sure the pocket master can sound almost identical to that of NAM

  • That’s what I need. More devices dependent on a computer????????

  • I noticed an issue with the EQ profile between your A/B test. It looks like the Pocket Master is not accounting for the 48khz vs 44.1khz difference between the NAM profile and the devices internal sample rate. Hopefully the developer can account for that and fix the math. I have pictures of my findings in the original Neural Amp Modeler facebook group in your post about this vide.

Very excited to see NAM working in such a small and inexpensive device! I hope they can solve the tonal differences issue.
