If you can call a big, loud, Silver Marshall a “secret” lol. Check out my full video on it: https://youtu.be/dnjxESqm4Rk
BLACK SHUCK!
Played one in a rehearsal space. Creamy distortion, but modulation and reverb/delay sounded very muddy????
Clipping diode for more gain… ???????????? LOL
Me who said they play guitar
Gary Holt = Exodus = ENGL SAVAGE FTW ????????????????
Yes. Don't hear black shuck very often. Nice. I hope Marshall get back to where they were. Really went downhill in recent years.
Joe Bonamassa too. His primary overdrive sound has been the Jubilee almost since the beginning of his career
I gotta say that if I didn't already buy a jose mod ceriatone I would have not bothered and just went for the jubilee. Or even jubilee from Ceriatone 😀 the tone is just right
I really appreciate that little snippet of Black Shuck
Also worth noting that the JCM Slash is the same amp, only with Dagnell transformers instead of Drakes
I have a BLACK 2550.My favorite Marshall..( the black ones are a bit rare)
Does it go to eleven though?
That eastman sounds good through it????????
And they play with some volume, none of the low stage volume rubbish.
The jubilee was produced for a couple years after 1987. They just weren't silver, they were the regular marshall black and gold. I've got one from 1988 and it's hands down my favorite amp!
The originals were available 1987 and 1988. In 1988 Marshall offered the jubilee in the regular black and gold as well.
You had me at Black Shuck.
Clipping Diode?! Sacrilege! I had a JCM900 for a long time and loved it. People sh*t all over it because of the clipping diode. The same people then use a gain pedal in front of their Marshalls lol.
Those amp next to Gary are DSL100.
i didnt expect to hear black shuck but fuck yeah
"Black Shuck…Black Shuck"!!!!!!
The Darkness for a tone sample?… nice!
And Joe bonamassa ????????
Never thought I'd hear Black Shuck as part of a gear demo ????
Exodus and Slayer.
Talk about Slash, & Fruciante but not Justin Hawkins??? "Black Shuck for those who give a fuck!" The Darkness!!!!!!
Randall BMF slays it
I am John Frusciante
BLACK SHUCK
Slash endorses Magnatone now though. Since 2023.
The fact that you played Black Shuck by the Darkness to demo it made my day!
BLACK SHUCK!!!! FUCKIN LOVE THE DARKNESS
Black Shuck, the dog don’t give a f*ck
What if I told you that there exists a rare 25 watt Silver Jubilee sibling to Marshall's now fervently sought after 1980's Lead-12 & Lead-15 micro stack solid state heads and combos? I've played one, and it's literally THE BEST low watt recording amp. Solid state shmolid state. If you see one in the wild?! BUY IT! My former high school class & bandmate owns the oly one I've ever experienced, and he won't sell it for any price. Believe me I've tried!! It does that thing. The mojo is there. Anyway. Whew! I feel better now. Ha!
what speakers?
Tone is in more than an amp
Played one, doesn’t punch like it should, literally no air coming out of those speakers. Strongly suggest finding a different Marshall or an original Jubilee
Well, Gary looks like he's standing by a 100 W.D s l never cared for The jubilee
It does have the infamous marshall tone. Seems as though many Marshall's need so much extra to get them to make "the sound"
They play guitar
Am i crazy to like that tone more than an 800????????????
Just another thing i have to have oh wait it's in my helix
beautiful tone!
Used to own a Model 2100 Dual Master Volume MkIII (100W). PEOPLE hated it because it has diodes & and wasn't played by Sl00sh.
Go figure…
P.S. this one went to 20
I remember them coming out in 1987, if their marketing had detailed what you just have? I'd have bought one of the range. Instead I went the Carvin route, now, in recent times, Roland amps (I'm a bedroom guitarist nowadays).
Those additional features on the Jubilee over the JCM 800s I'd have been swayed. Proves to me that some of the shop assistants didn't do a great job of explaining the differences either!
I thought what they have in common is the are all washed up relics from the past.
