THE ULTIMATE BASS COMPARISON VIDEO
So just a heads up…
This video is a little different.
It’s not a lesson (what?!).
I wanted to do something different, so as a team we decided that the world needed an awesome bass comparison video… and that we should create it.
I’m talking Fender P’s (flats and rounds), Jazz’s, Fodera’s, Zon’s, Alembic’s, Hofner’s, MTD’s, and a heap more…
In fact, 30 basses played back to back so you can hear the real difference between them all.
You excited to check this out?!
I hope so š
As always, see you in the shed…
Scott š

I'm really curiuous how a Sandberg California (e.g.TT4) compares to a Fender J-bass
What , no Ibenez in there ?
You know what , their are way to many basses to choose from ! A person could drive themselves Crazy trying to pick one out ! Can you say Fender !
Dude , that bass looks awful , it needs some paint or something !
How can i get the drum yrack?
Ernie Ball Stingray
Ken Smith Signature
Sadowsky Satin Series Deluxe
Precision
Jazz Bass
Gibson EB3
Two things
1. Scott looked good with that short scale
2. Not to sound whiney, but I would love to see this with basses under $1,000
Fabulous piece, best bass demo Iāve ever seen. Status bass, Alembic and Stingray, for me.
I'd love to see some semi-solids, like a Gibson EB2 or a Warwick RB or a Gretsch in the list.
Spectre (Euro LE4)
Fodera (Monarch Deluxe)
Maruszczyk Instruments (Elwood 4p)
Both MTDās blew me away but in a mix? One trick ponies. Iāll take the Fender custom shops.
MTD does it for me as it reaches the 'burping' low bass of the bass notes! How 'low can you go?' without being muffled?
Aria Pro 2 for me
EB-3 for me. It seemed to have more of a "vocal" tone than the others if that makes sense.
that alembic??!
I am an SG/EB3 guy in general, I like the shorter scale and the neck profile. And with some flats. Its thump and motown all day long. But I dig a P bass too. The rest I just found too āmodernā fusion style sounding for me. To me a wooly B15 and either an SG/EB3 or a P bass is the tone. But many make great sounding P basses like G&L I mean its still Leo designed so its still a P bass.. Anyway I generally stick with a short scale SG.. It does everything. And heard on as many recordings as a P bass. The Hofner is also a warm punchy son of a gun.. BTW I also cant stop my fingers. Mine was induced by medication. Caffeine makes it much worse as well as low blood sugar. But it is medicine that caused it, i might try the gloves.
The Elrick for me
Always wondered what a dingwall would sound like without a bunch of distortion
No One is going to talk about the pendulla?
That first MTD sounded monstrous (in the best possible way)
For me, MTD, Ken Smith and Sadowsky over all
