  • The Cory Wong signature is my favorite. It did both Klon sounds very well and I would have two OD's in one. My favorite single channel pedal was the Halcyon or Archer. I have the Soul Food. It does the high gain sound well (what I use it for), but like in the video, it doesn't match up with the other top pedals on the low gain sound.

  • I remember the sugar drive adding quite a bit of fatness to the tone which def sounds awesome but worth trying out first for sure

  • I have the Nux Horseman and it's good for the price, and very compact. You get the silver mod too which is switchable with the footpedal 🙂

But I'm eying a second-hand Conspiracy Theory, there's something about that pedal's spound that fits my ears

  • Archer!! Wow! Blown away, and a second contender in humble opinion was the conspiracy theory, loved the low gain warmth.

  • They all sound good low gain, the cheaper ones have a raspy cardboard midrange with the gain up whereas the more boutique ones have an angry Tweed type of sound. I liked the Archer and the Voyager.

  • I have a Soul Food and a Tumnus. And I have to say, its very hard to find a diference between them (besides the price).

  • Out of this comparison I would be most interested in the Way Huge and the Warm Audio ones. They sounded a touch richer than the others, maybe smoother but definitely less harsh, not that the others were harsh. Cool demo ????

  • The hx stomp stood out to me as the worst offering …sure you could tweak it to try to get closer, but that defeats the point and gets into option anxiety. Frankly, the Warm Audio, for my taste, sounded equal with the Halcyon Gold which I really liked. The Keeley is also quite good but as it was set the less gain was a tad muddy with the phat engaged. If the Halcyon Gold is Analog, I would take it….

  • There were so many that sounded almost identical. If I were in the room, I could probably make an easier decision.

  • The PRS sounded weirdly compressed and eq’d differently vs the others

  • With the exception of the LA Lady I'm not sure the differences between them were enough to say any one of them "does the job" better than any other.
