I have the Joyo Tweedy. It's a great amp. I set the gain at "Edge of Breakup" and then use my guitar's volume and/or pick attack to get some awesome Fender like distortion. A trick I've learned with both the Joyo BanTamp and Orange Dark Micro 20 watt hybrids is to put a JHS "Little Black Box" in the FX loop. It acts like a master volume. Another interesting thing to try, is to put an equalizer in the loop, to further tweak the amp's sound. Note: I play both amps in parallel (wet / dry) thru a pair of 2x12s, which I'm quite sure dramatically help their sound 😉

Yup, Joe Walsh's warm up exercise did become Life in the Fast Lane. Joyo's whole line up of Bantam Amps are pretty bleeping amazing for the price. Who needs a 100lb amp to lug around when this goes into the PA?
Thanks for the review Brian! I own this same exact amp. After seeing reviews by Ola Englund and Lois Torres, it’s a high gain metal monster for the modern player. I have mine hooked up to two 4×12 cabs. An EQ in the effects loop and a Joyo Vintage Overdrive with a noise gate in the front. Thanks for the review, again would recommend to anyone.
