This CHEAP guitar BLEW MY MIND (for less than $300) Schecter Deluxe Acoustic Review/Demo
When Schecter offered to send me this guitar to review, I was honestly underwhelmed by the idea, and originally told them no “thank you.” Well, they didn’t take “no” for an answer and sent it to me anyway, and boy, I’m glad they did. This Deluxe Acoustic is really mind blowing. It sounds really freaking good, especially considering that price ($299 and the time of this video, prices are always subject to chance without notice). The tone is very “modern” similar to a Taylor, very crisp and sparkly in the highs, but with a very rich low end. It plays extremely well, with its satin finish and professional setup by Schecter in California. It’s really a whole lot of guitar for the price, I’m not sure how they do it honestly. Just got one today. Anybody have recommendations on strings?
hey man is the top solid or laminate?
Do you live in new jersey? I literally restarted the video after 2 months of first “trying” to watch.. thanks for just being annoying and not really showing what it sounds like ????
Schecter makes some amazing electric basses. Played one that a friend let me borrow for a year. Probably my favorite guitar that I had the privilege to perform with.
Is this guitar low action?
YOU MENTIONED THAT IT DOESN'T HAVE A PICKUP, LISTEN UP, THAT'S WHAT THEY MADE THE "ORLEANS" THAT LOOKS JUST LIKE IT FOR, AND LET ME TELL YOU, I WAS LOOKING FOR A GOOD QUALITY GUITAR WITH CUTAWAY WITHOUT ELECTRONICS AND SCHECTER WAS THE ONLY ONE. THANK GOD FOR SCHECTER.
..
Is the action low? Or do you have to press the hell out of the strings?
How are the frets?
Just bought one???? I got the one with the Natural Wood color. Will be the first acoustic I’ve ever had… very stoked. Been eying these things for a few years ???????????? so essssited
Looking at this guitar now. Unfortunately out of stock everywhere. Schecter seems to be making great guitars, moderately prices to really expensive but all good! I'm looking at this or a used TSH-1!
Thanks for the review!
Curious on the neck size, I see it's a thin c. I currently have the Shaun Morgan Signature which has a thin c neck, just curious if this neck felt a little slimmer than most acoustics? Don't have the biggest hands so looking for an acoustic with that slimmer feel.
I want SСHECTER ORLEANS STUDIO-12 AC so bad
Is the top solid or laminate?
Hey Schecter, I'll review anything you want and post it to Youtube… with my zero followers!
Schecter makes my favorite guitars hands down and I’ve been thinking of ordering this guitar for a while but I couldn’t find any reviews until this one so thanks for helping me make my decision cause I just ordered this guitar ????????
Honestly the're great instruments, only thing I'd swap out is the piezo pickup as I find it's a bit thin sounding.
I’m diggin’ the folk chords and rhythms from the ‘70’s…played on a guitar built by a company famous for its metal music electric guitars.
Schecter makes great products
There is also a 12 string version that comes with a pickup/preamp and its called “Schecter Orleans Studio-12”, it sounds great great plugged and unplugged. Ive owned mine for over a year and it keeps up great to other 12 string guitars like Takamine and Taylor that are 1,400+ and the Schecter is almost a third of that being only $589 with tax
Hey Dan, just watched the video on the Schecter acoustic. It is very similiar to a guitar I recently bought from Sam Ash – a Michael Kelly Forte Exotica…………about the same price and also a warm, rich look and tone……plus it has a Fishman pick-up. Thought you might be interested in checking one out.
Impressive
I'm a cheap ass , yet wants quality products. Thanks for reviewing these products for the rest of us. You've got a new subscriber.
I've been truly impressed by Schecter, I've not pulled the trigger one their electrics or acoustic. A friend of mines did get the NJ and wow what an awesome guitar.
hows the action ?
Can you try ti review pickups for acoustic guitars?
I got a blemished one off of reverb for $180, added a most likely knockoff Fishman Presys, and have a fantastic stage player for right at $200…easily my favorite of all the acoustics that I’ve owned.
Dan I love what you do and you've helped me save so much money, also could you do a video on a 80s style shredder guitar like a Jackson, or a Kramer Barreta, I know byo guitar does a lot that a Barrera
The guitar seems to have a wrinkle or some kind of damage on the front right under your right elbow?
Hello Dan, this guitar is a real gem. Great video! You should check out Arcadia guitars. I bought two lately and love them. I have a travel guitar and a 41 inch dreadnaught. Both are an amazing value. I play them all the time and can't say enough good things about them! It seems like a solid company as well. Thanks for the videos!
Would you ever consider doing an acoustic guitar DIY build?
schecter always does outstanding in whatever price bracket their guitar is in. have 4 myself, all electrics, but would love to try one of their acoustics!
