I would send it back the middle is screwed up.
I don't care for the Tesla PU's I have them on my HB SC550ii les paul style. They seem too tinny too much treble. Not enough output. I like their older pickups better.
Sorry but you're wrong. It may get any better: i got mine for only 179€ as B-stock. it needed some attention on the trussrod and lowering the bridge almost to block leads to a nice setup. even in noisy environment the pickups do a very good job, no need to change that. thanks to your video i found my almost overseen Allen-Key. but different from yours i recieved an gold sparkling pickguard extra to change for the balck one..
one minor issuse: i have a tiny "wormhole" below E on 8th fret on the ebony..so every instrument seems to be a bit unique.
i am very happy with weight and balance too and this "Daphne" will become one of my favorite go-to guitars for jamming and live sessions. i enjoyed your video in all length 🙂
pity its doesn't come in other colours (coil Split)
update one year later: this blue one is not available anymore, one "shell white". blue only as b-stock.

Does it stay in balance when standing?

Great sounding guitar. I just wish it had the exact same shape as the original. The slightly offset horns are not to my taste.
This guitar is visually very nice and to be fair, the Tesla pickups sound decent. But… I cannot look past the slightly warped SG body style ???? I get they have to make modifications to avoid legal issues, but out of any altered popular body style (ST, TE, LP), I find the warped SG to be the worst. Same with the Vintage guitars equivalent.
Coil split! peter Green, Ac dc all the way to modern metal and Hendrix and does it all well❤????❤❤

I think I’d try tweaking balance of the middle position with pickup height (more neck) to see if it helps, but no matter, that is a beautiful guitar!
Do you know if there are any Hardshell Cases available that will fit this Harley Benton SG model?
late to comment but looking as they have one as "B" stock currently ,I even got to the coil split
I already have their Santana type double cut which looks to have the same pickups and coil tap same scale length but Grover hardware . so not sure I'll gain anything range wise …. except another guitar of course !

Middle position is def out of phase. Either they wired it wrong or the pickups aren't matched in polarity.
Agreed with you about the middle pick up position overdriven but through the clean amp it sounded amazing.
Is the neck on the more slim side? If so I’m think I’m gonna get it.

Since the name Tesla does not belong to Elon Musk but Nikola Tesla I dont think Elon can prevent anyone from using it.

Seems like the neck joins the body with 4 or 5 frets on top of the body, whereas real SG has almost no frets overlapping with the body.

Is this guitar suitable for small hands?
Did the COIL SPLIT make up for the lack of additional tone and volume knobs?
I would have seriously have bought one if it didn't have gold metal parts. I play rock, not Liberace covers.
A bit srceeckie for me but looks gorgeous. Coil split indeed.
Just got the special version they’ve ruined the body shape now they are not rounded at the bottom they have one end which is now curved also with my translucent version in cherry they should select a decent reasonably matching colour wood-suitable for the face of the guitar my one has a horrid dark band running down to the base, I understand they are budget prices but even so also had to do loads of work even though it was thomann inspected.
I liked the sound, but man, I really hate that shape
