the problem really is that if it doesn't swing it ain't mean a thing. at least not for jazz. the jazz was gone as soon as you left the swing. it's like saying you want to turn djent into jazz and you make the djent riff accoustic and make it swing….it just doesn't work because the very nature of what defines it is gone
