Now that’s how you play BEHS!!!
Is that a brass zero fret i spot?
I put flats on my Squier Afinity P-bass. I love both the sound AND feel of flatwounds.
Sounds like Chromes
Groovy Gravy Baby …..
I ❤️ it!
Those are some spicy sounding flats! Love your playing, man! May I know what flats you got strung on your bass? Reminds me of Bruce Thomas' bass.
What flatwounds are you rocking here?
Love the P behs btw
I’m getting a new Jazz behs (just player series nothing special). I’m assuming that these ship with rounds rather than flats on as standard. Does anyone know? Cheers
how to get this kind of sound with TI flatwound strings?
Question for you – do you get your backing tracks somewhere or are you writing/playing yourself?
Danny how would you play long sustain ballad with this flat setup?
Danny Phantom
Bounchy ????
real musians beat AI anytime! funky as F…man!
Man where can I get the track? So I can practice it
Sick playing man. Do you like them on jazz basses too? I’m assuming this is a p but I can’t tell
Awesome behs sound ❤❤❤❤
man is smooth as th strengs
I'm vibing Entwistle there. ????????
In my opinion I’m not a fan at all of flats
I feel like the bass needs rounds in order to cut through the mix. And I believe bass needs to cut through the mix more due to A. IMO producers don't turn it up loud enough and B. Most people have crappy listening devices with no bass, or they purposefully buy headphones with no bass because they don't understand or appreciate bass.
Where’s the bbq sauce video? Lmao
Hi. Do you think that the Flats are more melodic than the Rounds ? Thanks
What flatwounds do you use? (brand, gauge) Amazing playing btw!
such a great player – musicality & technique in perfect harmony! rock on
Hello there, would you mind if i used your bass and drums to record a video like a jam? I could send it back to you, This grooves!
Those fingers are dancing????????
Wooww!!! Awesome playing man. ???????????? so clean. Awesome tone.
I have a bass just like that , and like yours it sounds great !! Plus, like you I use coil cords…always have, always will….
What flats did you use????? They have the perfect tone!!!!!
That’s the bass players band.
????????
This guy could make any bass sound good
I have Rotosound flats on my P bass & my jazz bass. Also have Rotosound tapewounds on my Epiphone Les Paul bass. Clearly, I’m into flats right now.
flats are best while brights are for the not-so-bright….
Fabulous all around. Bravo!
Hmm… I'm thinking funk guitar would probably also work well with 11 gauge flatwounds on hardtails. It's the percussive 70s disco sound you are actually after. It's the characteristic.
Edit: Reading some of the comments. Yes! It's the "leathery thump" sound.
Not much of a low end, weird for thar combo. Great playing!!!
Wats brand fkats are those
Flats just have that rich thump that I love in a bass
He's a phantom
What brand of flats is this?
Flat-wound strings feel great, and they're perfect for fretless, but the tone they have is pretty much the opposite of what I want. I want that bold, piercing, punchy tone. The nylon tapewound steel core La Bella strings have an interesting mix of soft and punchy.
