  • I have a similar Gretsch amp with 2 12" speakers. Have had it since the late 60's. Recently one of the 6L6-GC tubes went bad. I'm wondering can I just put in a new matching pair of 6L6-GC tubes, or do they somehow have to be
"matched" to the amp? Two new tubes will cost almost what I paid for the amp 50 years ago!????

  • This the first tube amp I bought, back in 87’, and the only piece of gear I never sold or traded , other than my custom built Tele. It needs a speaker, so has been on a shelf for a few years. Does anyone one know what ohm the stock Jensen is? I am inspired to hear my sweet amp again.

  • I owned one of these for about 10 years – definitely a cool little amp. Yours sounds better cranked up than mine, though – for whatever reason, I could never get much breakup out of mine – it stayed pretty clean at higher volume.

  • I liked the way it sounded at the beginning, played out loud and mic'd. But I really didn't like the way it sounded after he plugged it into the speaker emulator, something about that sounded painful like instant listening fatigue. Makes me wonder if I really don't like this amp, or if it was just the way he recorded it.

  • I love the tone and overdrive this amp kicks out, even with single coils. I bet it'd sound even cooler with humbuckers

  • Solder those speaker wires. One almost fell off in the video. OP transformer could blow if it falls off while playing. Sounds great.

  • Please do a vid on your guitars (maybe this one in particular?)
…but all your Tele are piquing me curiosity ????

  • Very cool amp and song. You have a great knack for letting your videos breathe and not just having constant narration an blabbing on.
