This Prince’s Solo Is One Of The Best In Rock History #whilemyguitargentlyweeps
The 2004 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony included a noteworthy lineup of inductees: Jackson Browne, The Dells, Bob Seger, Traffic, ZZ Top, Prince, and posthumously, George Harrison.
During the ceremony, a musical tribute was paid to the Beatles member who had passed away nearly three years earlier. An all-star band, featuring Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood, and Harrison’s son, Dhani, along with the newly inducted Prince, performed the Beatles’ 1968 hit’ While My Guitar Gently Weeps’ from the White Album.
As the song unfolded and the artists played their respective parts, Prince launched into a monumental guitar solo lasting almost three minutes, during which he effectively turned the other legendary musicians on stage into his own supporting band, outshining even Harrison’ s son. With his induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame earlier that evening, Prince reaffirmed his status as one of the world’ s most influential musicians.

I am struck with how sad that Tom Petty, George Harrison and Prince are gone to all of us!
The Best Solo Ever!
couldn't hear the solo, you talked over the whole thing
P was IT… No one will top him.
My favourite rendition of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"!
Ouch. Bob Seger is pronounced See-ger.
Jimi was King ????.. Prince was the Prince ????
M O N S T E R
So you talk through the entire solo! ????
Not even in Prince's top 5 imo
RIP
Oh yes. You mean Prince is the ???? ? even George’s son recognizes I grew up with the Beatles. I love George Harrison however you can’t deny Prince talent.
it would have been great if I could have heard the thing you were talking about but you wouldn't let us hear it
Prince was magnificent
George's son was so overwhelmed with Prince performance he was just jumping around and looking at Tom Petty like you see this shit. Steve Winwood and Jeff Lynne fanboying Prince and Prince knows this by that smirk smile on his face and that strut of stage was the Mike drop.
He left them standing in the dust
That list was Legendary
❤most magical performance
YES! PRINCE, TRUE MUSICAL GENIUS!!!
…."Prince launch into a monumental solo lasting almost 3 minutes"… which I will fcking over dub because I am a god damm AI and I don't care, I don't even know what is music…
World class one of a kind a legend❤????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????❤️????❤️????????????????????????????????????
Prince was underrated by many rock fans. He was by far one of the best, if not the best rock guitarists that ever lived. He could play any genre of music on guitar and truly shined when playing rock guitar. And he a very talented musician, song writer and singer that was not limited to just playing the guitar and bass. He was also an accomplished piano player.
I have always liked Prince, his music isn't my usual style, but he was a true artist, and I grew to love, and still do, his music. Just a few years ago, I seen a video of him flat picking a guitar, I was and am still amazed at his talent! One of the greatest guitarists of all time.
Prince! ????
Beautiful. Nice video. I couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket but I can pronounce Bob SEE-gur … hummin’ a song … Night Moves
Prince and Bowie
Two greatest
Let's all be serious…. The ONLY two things we all remember from watching this the first time, along with every replay since are Pettys flowing old blonde hair and Prince playing that guitar. In fact, legend has it that Prince touched that guitar so intimately that night it gave the guitar feelings. When the guitar came off stage, it requested a trip to the local hospital and then the police station to file charges against Prince. Sadly the guitar went down a long road of depression and when Prince passed, he did shortly after. #victim
Man, this video was an eye-opening experience for me, and not for the reason you might think. I knew Prince could play just about any instrument he put his hands on, but as a guitar player this solo blew me away. My uncle inspired me to play, and I showed him this video, thinking that as a huge Beatles fan he'd get a kick out of it… not so much. Apparently his dislike of Prince (for reasons that I can't really fathom, though I can guess) overrode any unbiased analysis of his playing. I think I learned things about my uncle that day that I wish I hadn't.
This no less than the artist known as the❤
My man (Denzel Washington voice)
The cool thing to me was that he had that tele since way back in the beginning and you never saw him really play it too much in the media anyway, maybe it was different at his live shows (I unfortunately didn't get to any) but the wild thing was here he was, maybe one of the absolute best guitarists out there and never even played it that much on tv or videos really. Why he unleashed at this time particularly I'll never know, but I'm just glad he did. I wish I could have seen much more. It shows his skill AND his humility. What a man!!!
Prince never liked to play with others.
Hi ????????????️
I????????????????????????PRINCE
Best EVER!!!!!! Prince, the G.O.A.T.!
Prince's performance in this video is Unbelievable!
If I was the Phantom. I would sue the estate of Prince for turning the colour purple into such an airy fairy gay type colour. The Phantom is over 400 years old. He's far too old and been defending the innocent for far too long to put up with frivolous namby pamby pillow biters that want to certify the colour purple as a symbol of gay prosperity and happiness and certainly not the colour of justice bought on a strong serve of physical punishment for those who think that they are above the law and common decency.
When the best you can think of, say they’d have to refer you to Prince; this is why.
I remember this. It was one of the most amazing performances I’ve ever seen
I am told that he went out of his way to take over the lead guitar part because he was passed over for an award …. Is that true ?
George son looks exactly like his Father. Talk about a clone lookalike. Almost eerie. Wow ???? what a group of all time entertainers on stage at same time. ???? ????
