  • Too bad you guys couldn't take a humbucker guitar like a Les Paul and also an archtop and dial some classic jazz tones. Because Fender Twin is a standard jazz guitar amp and we would like to know how the Tone Master will hold up. A demo with only Fender guitars? Soooo lame. You realize that the Fender twin is not going to be exclusively used with Strats and Teles, do you?

  • You want to turn a Tone Master into a Super Tone Master…?

Put the Fender MTG Tube Distortion Pedal in front of it.
It gives it that warm-tube feeling & sound that fills the room just like tube amps do.
Very low gain / high volume settings to keep it clean.
Up the gain lower the volume to get tube break up / dirty / distortion.
HIgh mids if you want that sound.
It is basically now your pre-amp, a tube one.

Fender should make this pedal mandatory with each amp, it is THAT good of a combination.
I did it to the Twin, and I assume it would have same affect to the Deluxe.

On top of that I bought both Black and Twin to compare, and ended up swapping the speakers.
So it now has 1 British Celestion and 1 American Jensen speaker because I am a picky dumb ass who couldn't decide which one to keep. By accident I discovered that this is an amazing combination that HAS to be HEARD to be believed. With the pedal it is like a Boutique amp turning this into a Super Super Tone Master that can play any style you want with tube realism, yet with digital control for various volumes you want to play at —The big TM advantage in first place

Problem with swap: Now I have 2.
Sweetwater is very open with returns as they agreed to let me return one after testing both, but obviously I cant return a modded amp.

For Sale: 1 Amazing Super Super Tone Master Twin Reverb — Austin Texas.

  • This is a phenomenal amp, sweeter than my blues junior, much better with pedals than my hot rod (not that I don't love both of those amps), but this is my go to going forward. I can't believe the tone to weight ratio.

  • They cost almost as much as a real twin did just a few years ago. Then I looked at real twins and they have went up 500 dollars too! So they made a mass produced digital amp for way less money and put the tube price on it and then cranked the tube prices up 500 bucks. What a world we live in now.

Good news is you can find mint condition twins for 600-800 bucks used. At least here in the south you can. Paid 600 for mine in perfect condition.

  • Ted Nugent uses Twin Reverbs. Everybody has heard a twin cranked up they just didn’t know it. Now they do. Stranglehold baby!

  • Tried this amp a couple days ago in one of music shops here in Australia and i hated the digital sound of reverb. The more reverb the more i did not like it. So i said no to this amp. Also i did not like that ply light yellow wood colour. Why they did not paint it in black so it does not look cheap amp?

  • How about your engineers put a 3 axis accelerometer in reverb? Its digital. My phone has an accelerometer. Program it so when you kick the amp, its like a reverb tank. Fender, feel free to send me a prototype so I can check it out.

  • Curious if you could pair it with a Wurly, Clav or Rhodes ?

  • I tried it out today, the blonde version and it wasn't loud at all. The tone was EXTREMELY bland and uninspiring. I really hope it was just a faulty amp and the deluxe was WAY LOUDER. It's DEFINITELY 100 watts, but that Twin can't be more than like 60-70 watts because it wasn't loud at all and the amp/speakers didn't react no matter how I used the knobs or attenuator. I'm gonna go to another music store and see if any other ones are better. I REALLY hope that was faulty, because I really want one but I'm not wasting my money if it doesn't work properly.

  • I am getting a buzz/fiss when i play on the lower strings of my guitar from my Deluxe tone master. thought it was the speaker but ran the direct out to my scarlet focusrite interface and its there. cables are all good, tried two different guitars. its there. i reached out to fender with a general question but couldn't find a link for technical issues. i don't think this is software but i want to hear from Fender before i update the firmware as a remedy. Anyone else have this issue. i can't use it to record with this buzz/fiss.

  • I'm just concerned about reliability with modelers. I know it's a closed system, but if it fails after warranty it's not like you can take it to get repaired. Also, what if they stop doing updates for it after like 2 years, then what? I don't want to spend a grand only to have it turn into a side table a couple years later.
