Tony Levin is a world-renowned bassist most admired for his work with Peter Gabriel and King Crimson, as well as his virtuosity on the Chapman Stick. Appearing on more than 500 albums, Tony’s prolific session career has allowed him to work with superstars such as Lou Reed, Paul Simon, Laurie Anderson, David Bowie, James Taylor, Buddy Rich, Bruce Hornsby, Sarah McLachlan, The Brecker Brothers, John Lennon, Peter Frampton, Carly Simon, Robert Fripp, and Pink Floyd. Tony has also been involved in a variety of collaborative ensembles, including Bruford Levin Upper Extremities, Bozzio Levin Stevens, the Levin Brothers, Liquid Tension Experiment, and Stick Men. Among his successful solo albums, Bringing It Down to the Bass joined the family as Tony’s latest release this fall. He is currently on the Beat Tour with Adrian Belew, Steve Vai, and Danny Carey, playing 65 concerts of ’80s King Crimson music around the U.S. and Canada.
