  • Starting to learn at 53 i got a harleybenton as a christmas gift its a prs style thought when i got the hb amp i could start but now i see i gotta learn amp aswell????????by the way i plugged a cheap rockjam strat copy into it omg sounded awful maybe i just need to set up the amp

    Can you help me on this subject.
    I have a Tele squire and a vox vi modeling amp.
    All I'm trying to do is get that 70s t rex ,status quo rock sound.
    I'm just starting out at 52 and a long way to go
    But would be nice too get that sound.

  • Good things to think about. Simplifying goes miles down the road. It took me many years to get what you just illustrated in ten minutes. I use to think you needed all kinds of pedals and effects. Horseshit! You just helped thousands of players. Thank you ????

  • What about the Effects Steve ? the Effect pedals…you didn't mention them. I would be nice to share a few of the "Tone" settings of some Rock/Metal bands (if possible). You said EMG, but which ones are you using, 81, 85 or ?

  • i just picked up my usa fender after 5 yr's i cot your vid about practice yesterday learning a riff or a song 1 a month…
    i have to say this again your teaching method have inspired me to pick up my guitar again.
    I have a Peavey Heritage "Oldeee" tube.
    it's my go to amp when every thing ells dies it always been there LOL..
    but long story i know.
    i have often wondered how to get it to work for me clean rock country blues..i noticed what you JUST SHOWED US CLICKED .. your method works …. cool thank you …
    im kinda of a cabbage head i never know what i like ..lynard skynard is a little tricky ,allman bro otis reading
