  • I would recommend checking out Empress for Compressor pedals. They are not budget in costs, but sound fantastic. Studio quality and features on a pedal.

  • Hi Jonny, for a newbie looking for a multi fx pedal would you recommend the Zoom or the Valeton Pedal you reviewed a while back?

  • Over on the US side i can't recommend enough Black Mass Electronics. All of their drives/fuzzes sound great and hang on to the low end in such a big way. The 1312 is my fave Rat style drive for hardcore sounds. The First Herald is an incredible 2 switch fuzz/clean drive, it has a switch for different transistors in the ram big muff style circuit. 11/10

  • I have recently invested in a few “one control” pedals, small form factor but able to house a battery if wanted….started with the sonic silver peg, nice preamp, then got the little copper chorus which i love, and now just got the lemon yellow compressor 4K which i havent had much of a chance to try yet

  • Tech 21 all day every day. Fuzzrocious if you haven’t tried one get your hands on one you’ll see why. Death by audio. What can I say I like noise and feedback it comes in handy and makes a live show more interesting and fun

  • Awesome list, Johnny ???????????????? I own a few of these pedals. I do own a source audio aftershock and Gemini chorus pedals. They sound phenomenal. I also got darkglass pedals. I am a big fan of their vintage series and x series of pedals.

As for the other pedals, I did had ebs pedals. I’ve had their metal drive and drive me crazy distortion pedals. They sounded pretty killer. The other pedals from them I would get would be the unichorus and the black haze distortion.

  • Darkglass is great, don't get me wrong, but a lot of modern tones these days seem to be all the same. I have just moved back onto bass for a punk band. Give me the classic Sansamp bass driver any day. Just need to find what overdrive I'm gonna put in front of it for that little bit extra.

  • I’ve been playing a couple 3 Leaf Audio pedals that I will NEVER get rid of and also the two notes revolt bass is such a great tube preamp!!! Love the content! ????????

  • Big shout to Zvex for me – the Mastotron pushed every other fuzz right out of consideration for me. Also a huge fan of all things Walrus.

  • Do you know anything about plugins or amp sims im looking for a plugin version of the boss bass chorus ceb-3

  • Gotta give a shout out to Tech-21 and their pre-amp/di pedals. Not only the original Sans-amp but all the signature versions as well (Love both my DP-3X and YYZ pedals).
Also, even though they really aren't known for the their bass specific pedals EHX makes some great pedals for bass for not a whole lot of money. The Mono Synth, Q-tron, and any of the Big Muff series work great.

  • Jonny, you need to support UK makers like COG effects, Flattley pedals, Lusithand, Hamstead….
Also fuzzrocious and KMA machines, 3 leaf audio, Broughton.
You can keep your zoom, and good on Origin
