  • Been playing over 20 years…did 10 in Nashville n have gone through about any amp you can think of. Z’s, matchless, Marshall, 65 amps, fender, Marshall, etc.. about the time I started settling down n wanted class A with minimal weight n carting I went shopping for a good combo n found this. Been my main rig n favorite amp for almost a decade now. I play tons of styles n this can handle it all. Trust me

  • I like it. This guy is a perfect paring for this amp. Really great playing. The amp itself has the "jangle" of a Matchless, but not as piercing. Its more refined. I really dig it. Sounds superb with that tele. I've been playing guitar for 40yrs and could not make that amp sound as good as this guy does, but I would love to plug in and see what I sound like through it. WAY above my pricepoint though. I have two custom made amps right now. One is Class A with a SS rectifier and too much gain if you dial it in, and the other is Parallel single ended class A. Both have triode switches, and both sound like rip offs from other amps. If I could find a schematic of the right amp I would change the tone stack of these amps….maybe someday (never) I will just start plugging different caps and resistors in the tone stack to see what happens. This amp, however, sounds great.

  • I totally approve of this amp. It has plenty of gain. Nothing obscene – if it can do AC/DC (which it obviously can), it has gain enough for any non-metal'ers. 🙂

  • It's so much easier to watch a guitar/amp video when someone is playing in tune. Thank you.

  • Just love that funky slightly country inspired blues style Greg. The tone of this amp is absolutely superb – as is your playing. I've watched a lot of your videos but this is one of my favourites! Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

  • I can't recall if it had an extra speaker output. Call Top Hat to see if they will make you an amp. Good luck!

  • Great licks man! The Super 33 is my favorite amp of all time. It has that AT-AT laser sound I've been looking for. I know that's and odd tone description but it's what it sounds like to me in my head. I first heard it on a Kenny Chesney record lol. Thanks for an informative and inspiring demo.

  • Hi Greg, is it possible to connect this amp into a cabinet? And is it still possible to get this amp, seeing that Fat Sounds is no longer existent? It would be a shame…

  • I'm with pretty much everyone else who has heard your stuff, i.e. ready for a new Greg V release!

    And…

Since you are doing a ton of film these days, how about a 20+ hour documentary of the making of the album? I'd pay $200 for that!

  • Hey Greg, great demo. I've got one question though (maybe two): does it have an output for an extension cabinet and if so what is/are the impedance rating(s)? Thanks.

  • Right on, thank you so much and really glad you enjoyed my CD! I have plenty of songs for another CD release but finding the time to commit to the project is the only problem.
