Hello NEIL. Excellent video on the Traynor SB115. Having been playing bass since the late 60's, have used a lot of different equipment. Too many brands of basses, cabs, heads and combos to mention. In the process of selling my Ampeg head and cabinet and I was having a difficult time choosing a replacement bass combo. Just rented this Traynor combo and it is perfect. It's bullet proof. Pretty sure I'm BUYING A NEW ONE. I'ts a lot lighter to move compared to the Traynor YBA tube heads and cabs Ive used, BUT I'm totally "sold" on the excellent low end capability and endless "dial-in" controls for tone. Beautiful amp. Good for an upright bass (as I have owned). It's perfect for my Fender fretless jazz bass.
Unfortunate that it just kinda sounds like any stock bass amp, I was hoping these modern Traynors would carry on the sound of older ones like the TS-50b. Good demo, though.
I don't like Traynor bass amps, terrible tone.
