Troubleshooting Techniques That Most Amp Owners Can Do Themselves
There’s a short missing section around 4:11-4:51. In the missing section I discover the tank is not the stock Belton but an MOD. Sorry about that.

Thank you sir for great video helpful ????
The layout is so similar to the pro jr and blues jr… I wonder…
Sensory deprivation reverb tank?
Thanks!
Wow, great video. I have a 65 Deluxe Reverb reissue from 1996 with the exact same problems. Really loud hiss and crackle on the reverb knob. Just dropped it off with an amp tech, but this video at least makes me feel that a fix is within reach. Thank you! I learned something new today.
Beautiful. Ty.
Don't forget Princeton is single ended and will always have more floor noise than a push pull amp.
I have a re-issue fender Deville 4 10 in speakers sounds like dust really static then blew a fuse should I take it to a shop or just replace the fuse and do nothing but blow out the cab with my air compressor
Liked and subbed
I'm here searching for why I'm only getting crackling and scratchy string noise from my DSL40CR. Anybody know what it could be? All the tube's seem perfectly fine, but I am new to this game, so I'm not 100 percent sure.
I wish I lived near enough to get my Deluxe Reverb Reissue to you! I’m in UK. Have some Ok local techs near me but no way they take the same care over their with or have the level of expertise you do
What Hum??? Your audio is very, very poor for this kind of demo – And YES I have my PC volume at full bore. 🙁 The first few minutes are useful to know after that there isn't much of practical use for an amp owner… well of my limited knowledge anyway..
The reverb driver trick: Input is actually the reverb Output… thus it can be hooked up to a 8ohm speaker… for low output practice, hmmm… Well I guess that's handy to know without any explanation. Then there is the ability to plug your guitar directly into the reverb driver but with impedance issues… again no explanation.
I guess that would have meant a much longer video but, maybe if you are bringing it up you should perhaps direct viewers to more info. When you arouse curiosity… people like answers.
I recommend people with many amps and techs to get a Orange Divo VT1000 Tube valve tester. It has saved me lots of money and trips to the repair man.
Those heater wire twists seem marginal at best. Literal penny pinching by Fender.
Peavey Classic 50 has barely any volume. Anything I can try at home?
Hello Psionic Audio. What would you do in my situation? I bought a Carmen Ghia that kept buzzing and humming uncontrollably, and sound cut in and out. The one they sent as a replacement had a volume knob that wouldnt shut off too. Never experienced issues with any tube amp or brand like this, and was wondering if its even worth the 6 month turnaround wait for me in Ontario ???????? here. Thanks for all the great learning! ????
MJ
What’s a reverb tack? Did it show in the video?
I have a PRRI as well, and have been having it cut to a way lower volume and will usually mostly come back in a bit. I took off the back and turned the amp on and notices that V4 is glowing a lot more than the other preamp tubes… i'm thinking maybe that is the problem? Thank you!! Great video btw!
Thanks for making this video. I kept getting told that noise was normal in my 65 re issue. Soon as I get my stuff out of storage I'll contact you about bullet proofing it.
Thank You
Does Fender make any reliable amp in 2022 and what lifespan do they have?
