  • Ride like the wind from Christopher Cross features his real Dumble Overdrive and a Real 59 Les Paul in the outro.

  • So expressive and detailed definition even when pushed hard with that fuzzy textures anyway… A unique receipt that reminds me one of the last Tim Pierce video playing "the best sounding amp ever" ❤
And still no MIDI controls from UAFX ????????

  • So, I don’t remember where I saw this, but I saw bonamassa basically say “Ilthe dumble is so unforgiving that I can’t play it every night. I know in sound check if I’ve got it or not, and I’ll change to something more forgiving if I don’t have it that night.”

  • Man UA clearly just sent this to you guys and you have close to no idea what you're talking about the whole video

  • Just about Anything sounds good with a telecaster! So I’m not completely convinced with a price tag of $399.00

  • Jesus. This thing honestly sounds amazing. Who cares if it doesn’t “feel” like playing an amp in the room? If it sounds like that into my UA volt476p I’m 100% sold. Holy s***

  • I’ve never played through a Dumble, but I really like the low-gain drive sounds you guys were getting out of this thing. The clean sounds too! Now, how does it do running into a guitar amp? And how many presets can be accessed without using the app? I can’t see digging out my phone on a gig when I need to change presets.

  • I does sound really good, but it’s the same price or thereabouts of analogue preamps such as the Effectrode Blackbird, which is Dumble inspired and has real valves running at real voltage in it, without any need for apps and such things.

  • Ok. I’m asking this question at the risk of shining the “stupid” spotlight on me. What speaker is being used with this pedal? Am I using a cab extension, combo amp, or powered monitors?

  • To me every demo I’ve heard of this thing sounds like they really dialed in too much high power stuff, the speaker emulation sounds saturated/muddy. There’s a sweet spot on any tube amp where the speaker really starts to sing and when you get beyond it the speaker starts to break up in a bad way, it seems like a lot of the sounds I hear from this thing sound like that. I don’t know if maybe backing off the volume control is the secret on here but it seems like even if it’s set halfway up, it’s just too much speaker distortion modeled in, just gets too muddy/flubby for my tastes.

  • It sounded good no matter what the settings were, and there was just a bit too much superfluous futzing around with settings.

  • Yes, played a few real ones. Some are actually terrible despite what everyone seems to suggests. Others have a wonderful balanced clean tone (ala Steve Kimock). The "he made one for each individual player" is also over hyped but there are differences between them – back to point 1.

  • Hope I some day come to see the UAFX app for my UAFX pedals. Some people are just lucky enough to get that far. Oh my. That could be great. ????

  • You guys complain about it sounding like a it’s not an amp in a room and it’s only couple little speakers every time you test something with a di. Just get some better speakers in the room, and a subwoofer hooked up! Ps the pedal sounds amazing.

  • If there ever is a Dumble pedal that sounds like a Dumble, I'm pretty sure the pedal will have tubes in it. And you'll probably have to run it into a speaker cabinet to really sound authentic. But I am curious, where did they get a cross section of Dumble amps to simulate? There aren't even enough for Joe Bonamassa to hoard them.

  • The question is really this – does this pedal sound better in the room than if you were plugged into a lesser amp than a Dumble in the room? I can’t help but get the feeling that the boys are trying really hard to make this sound like it’s really worth getting when they’re actually not 100% convinced…
For my money, I think I’d rather make sure I had a decent amp and a simple and effective OD pedal in the front rather than this, which seems to be trying to do too much.
