  • Hey guys, thanks for watching. The 3 most common questions I’m getting in the comment section are:

    1) will it last long?

    2) 3000w peak power is not possible.

    3) that’s not a line array

I reached out to ProReck and got a few answers:

To answer the first question, they do have a 1 year warranty on it (I should have added that to the video). And they’ve also sold products on Amazon for 10 years and said they respond to customer service inquiries within 48 hours. A 1 year warranty is definitely helpful. I will just say, that’s always part of the risk when buying cheaper. Take care of it, and don’t push this thing beyond its limit and with a 1 year warranty included, you should be good ????

    2) the peak power of 3000w seems very very unlikely to be reached. But as I mentioned, continuous and RMS is more important. I’m trying to understand some of this myself, and they sent over the graph of their subs hitting 400W each and the tops hitting 100W each, so 1000W RMS, which is the amount you should be looking at anyways. They said there is a 3:1 ratio that is applied to many speakers, which I’ve done a little more research and I’ve found other discussions on Reddit claiming this as well, with multiple people saying “how is that possible?” Lol. So my understanding is that “peak” should often just be ignored as it’s unlikely to reach that level. And especially how I emphasize I wouldn’t use this for more than 200/250 people for a band should be taken into consideration more than the peak wattage (and that’s true for other systems as well… pay attention to continuous and RMS).

    3. I should have shown how it does angle the speakers like a line array, and you can build on them. I filmed it, but never added it. These are NOT going to be a large line array like you see at festivals, but they do have that curved shape and you can add more. There does seem to very a disagreement on what counts as an actual “line array” system it seems like as well (some call the EV 50 system “line array” for example). They do angle the speakers, or you can have them flat, and you can add more on top. That might be a better way to understand it ????

One final point that others have pointed out: my band is a 3 piece and we do have a smaller drum kit. Having a larger band might produce different results. We are also all direct and in ears in my band. A full drum kit and large guitar amps might get different results. But for most bands I think it will be okay within the limitations I mention in the video. Again, the 8000 option is also available for larger projects and They do also have the PR-212T system for bigger projects as well.

Thanks again for watching as well as for the questions and comments. Hope that helps! ????????

  • Looks great for those on a budget! Would be awesome if you could do one on a similar seismic audio set up! Nothing really engaging that I can find.

  • Even on the phone mic the vocals are clear and yes a little bright…definitely passable for a budget system

  • thanks for the video! I currently have the EV 30Ms do you think purchasing these would be an upgrade? I do know the 30Ms are smaller subs. What is your opinion?

  • Another great video. What's the ethnicity of the vocalist? Isn't he the one who can sing higher notes?

  • Scott,
Thanks for the review. I purchased the Club 6000 based on your recommendation at it has not disappointed me. I host karaoke weekly through a Behringer QX2442USB mixer with up to 4 mics in a 80'x60' hall, up to about 60 people so far. The system has performed flawlessly and is plenty loud for this venue – I haven't pushed it beyond 50% yet. Definitely bright, like you said, but I can EQ that down no problem. I have to agree with a lot of reviews that these do have a somewhat fishy odor, but after a couple of months it's barely noticeable to me and no one else has mentioned it.

    Thanks again!!

  • Is the Club8000 more bass heavy compared to the Club6000? Or is it louder ? How do the 2 compare? Much appreciated

  • it needs the right EQ for the environment, but it is there! thanks for sharing! great to hear on the phone, it hits hard!

  • Your drummer is using a mix of electronic and accustic? Do you have all the instruments mic-ed up? What about monitors? Are you using IEMs?

  • Hello all, I purchased a Club 6000 system and had the opportunity to put it through the paces. Here are my thoughts

    1. Out of the box the sound is meh. Major letdown is harsh mid-highs and piercing highs that you cannot control on the active sub. Once you EQ the sound through either a mixer or graphic equalizer, sound can be truly phenomenal
    2. The fish smell is not as bad as made out to be, once you air it out it will be gone in a day or two
    3. Customer support is lacking. You only get one email per day and the phone number on website is useless. I had issues with passive sub (mild distortion) that is not noticeable with premixed music but obvious while I am playing bass. In mass produced cheap speakers, I think they are not QC'd prior to shipping, it feels like a buzzing sound as if the voice coil is rubbing against the magnet. I have sent >7 emails with video/explanation of issues but they are either understaffed, closed for holidays, clueless on customer support or simply don't care?

I have a new Club 6000 system with two good tops, a good active sub, and a distorting passive sub. Your review was spot on Scott and I appreciate your help in guiding the purchase. I wish Proreck had better customer service. I may eventually end up purchasing a 15 inch subwoofer speaker and replacing the defective speaker myself because of the lack of support. Hope this helps

  • Hi Scott, I bought this system for my 5-piece 80’s band. Sounded great on BT. When I ran the mix through mixer (Peavey FX2 24), music was garbled. I ran directly from iPad to aux cable and got same result, so it’s not the mixer. All balanced inputs sound garbled including bass guitar and mic

  • Hey Scott, I am taking a serious look at this system. Looking through the Proreck site. One of the options for the 6000 is for 6 speaker array. Do you think it would be a good upgrade, or stick with the 4 that comes with the normal setup?

  • Dug the review. I'm pricing IEM / PA stuff out for a new project that happens to be a 90's (mostly) cover band as well. Dug your set. Was looking at a lot of the songs you were doing. Looks like a fun show. Any songs you thought would crush but fell flat? lol.

  • Love the video. I was thinking about getting two sets of the 8000's. Having a pair as left and a pair as right. How big of a crowd do you think that would work for? Thank you!
