  • I was kinda looking at their parahelion 7 but there is like 0 reviews on it. But holy shit is that a giant effing guitar!

  • I must chime in on this review: I just ordered an Agile Pendulum Pro 102730 this evening, a B-stock with a finish blem at an unbelievable price. Never thought I'd buy a 10 string, but here we are, price was just too good to pass up. I currently own an Agile Geodesic 62527 (headless fan fret), an Agile Chiral Parallax 72527 (headless fan fret), a Hadean (Agile brand) headless EG HL (non-fan fret) and a Legator G8FP Ghost Performance (headless fan fret). Agile guitars are top notch, and as with any instrument you need to tweak it to your liking. Rondo doesn't offer "white glove" set ups or the guitars would be significantly more $$$. This review somewhat misses the mark with it's review in that regard. But as Arnold says, they are solid instruments.

  • Regarding the string and tuning issue, you could solve it by tuning it as a 9 string, with a high A on the treble side instead.
I mean, what do you even need that low G for anyway, realistically?

  • As low as it goes, I'd probably do a split channel setting. Low pass for frequencies below 300 hz. Leave that signal clean, high pass over 500 send that to the amp sim.

  • I got lucky with mine where the nut was cut with greater accuracy and only had to do a little bit of filing on the low G# and C#, but this was really not as bad as what it sounds like you experienced. This said, the low G# is very floppy for the scale length (reminds me of a low B on an Ibanez Axestar 5-string bass guitar). The bridge pieces are funky, the pole pieces (what the strings are resting upon) themselves seem to be held in by gravity and thankfully the two that fell out during a gig just landed on the folding table and not the floor. I wish Rondo were using different bridge hardware with greater break angle (ABM or what Etherial uses on their headless models). This said, I was able to get mine intonated very well and have it stick. The fretwork on mine was ok, mostly needed a little more work on the sides of the neck. The fret leveling was very decent on mine. I also removed the pots and used a pair of concentric pots to give each pickup separate volume and tone control. This said, I personally don’t play with much overdrive and distortion. Phasers, modulation, filters, and delays are more my speed. So, non-djent content from my end. I may change out the pickups for Lace Alumitones in the future.

  • I don’t consider myself a guitar boomer but this is just getting fucking stupid. I would take a baritone 6 or 7 over this any day and even then I don’t think there’s any reason to go that low (G0),

  • If U could change pickups would U prefer EMG, Fishman or Lace Deathbar?

  • 19:25 My final thought is…who is this instrument even for? How can it possibly be functional? You had to use an amp sim on it to clean it up so we could even hear what you’re doing. I can’t imagine anyone playing classical on it, though the 10 string classical guitar is a thing.

  • Nothing wrong with the top 6 strings. But the whole problem you are really having is fretbuzz.

You need thicker strings like 13 gauge and higher action for the lowest tuned 4 strings.

  • Holy shit, I've been eyeing these beautiful guitars, but what I couldn't get past is how short the scale is on the low end. 28'' for the low G# seems extremely insufficient, given that I had to install a .118 string on my 30'' Septor just so the 9th string isn't floppy (C#). I would imagine something akin to .140 or even higher would be necessary with such a short scale in order to get a properly tense string at G#. Now I see it's only one of this guitar's problems.

As for finding strings for these guitars, try Kalium – they specialise in extended range guitar strings, picked up a custom 9-string set ranging from 0.07 to 0.118 with no issues from them.
