Sounded great, especially the lower gain. I wish he did some knob twisting and let us hear the differences, the Baxandall eq is very interactive, and you really could spend hours turning the knobs and not run out of tones to try. Considering a few on Reverb right now. Hard to find amps, ltd production run.
Wow… What a surprise!
If there are no pedals involved here, then I'm rightly impressed!
Does anyone know is there are class A amps?
I will never sell this amp. It's an absolute beast. Honestly sounds just as good as amplifiers worth double the price. Hugely overlooked, and very hard to find these days. I play a custom tele through a strymon deco and fulltone supa-trem and it honestly sounds ridiculously good.
Good new, this amp is awesome for a bass too ;))) (with a bass cab of course)
Just got my ampeg ‘68 Gemini 12 serviced and cleaned up . What a monster! It kicks butt ! I love this thing!
Sounds pretty fine as far as amps go, but doesn’t compare to an original Ampeg – V4, VT-22, SVT or GU-12 etc. Missing is the blue grill cloth too.
the reverb on this amp rules so hard
I found one and bought it on Ebay almost new for my offer price of $350 about 2 months ago. Yes they are hard to find.
do these things even exist? i can't even find one online
Was that some Jerry Reed I heard?
Does anyone else's make a popping sound when flicking the wattage switch? Sounds unhealthy.
It is very beautiful, and wonderful emocionate all Ampeg products. I Love Ampeg equipment !!! What does it take for me to do well in the group so that I can contribute and add to the Fender with my knowledge and my art? I thank the attention. I have one and will never sell it 😉
CAN IT DO BLACKFACE CLEAN??????
how does it compare to a night train 15
Thanks for this great video. What are you playing at 0:34 and 0:48?
These really are awesome amps, I love the look of them and they sound great too. It's the balanced tone that won me over. Sounds true to any guitar plugged straight in – clean or overdriven. I've actually sold a few of my od/distortion pedals in favor of a boost to instead pull out more gain out of this amp bc the tone is just that good. Straight in or with a mountain of effects going in its exactly what I wanted…much better than both my blues jr (of course) and my ac15c1 (now used in addition for stereo/effects).
TURN THE GAIN DOWN
Ive never seen or read OSHA allowing 22sec for 116ds.. OSHA allows up to 115 dbs. As you can see OSHA and (what you might be refering to) World Health Organization have two very different opinions of noise levels standards
I think this was with aV30. The other reviews of the combo sound auful with that 70/80
OSHA allows 15 mins for 115dbs.
people at ampeg dont understand, that real old school guiatr player want a clean amp whitout a gain channel, something that breaks by it self into saturation like the v2 or v4
these amps really do sound great!
agree
This thing loud enough for a gig if i were to run it through a 4×12?
You really didn't understand nothing at all about this amp, man !! please !!
This is a super CLEAN amp and you're not able to play just a second with no gain at all…
Shame on you guy !
hahaha i heard it too!!!
WHat song is he playing at 3:07, does anyone know please?
Hello premierguitar ! In what cab' the head was connected ?
This is an EXCELLENT amp demo – I own the GVT15H and it sounds exactly like that.
PLEASE FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THE DEMOS!!!!! he talked about a 60's clean tone but none of those were clean tones.
@SixStringHarmonies ah man. Completley agreed.
