  • Depending on how much each contributes, the possibility of over saturating may become apparent. I suppose that the mix would need to be tweaked to suit any desired output volume.

  • The effects loop in my Roland BC-60 has a blend knob to vary influence of preamp or effects in the loop. At the half way point is a detent.

  • Training the ear to associate "outside" the boxes of wrote memory can ONLY be done while listening. Keep listening while you're playing. Those who perform this way present the listener with a gift of inclusion which is the most compelling link between artist and audience.

  • Adam's comments about associating chords with scales and modes only while learning pieces of music support my predilection for developing pieces worthy of remembrance which are developed as exercises utilizing concepts applied in playing "that instrument".

  • Quality control is the answer to "hit and miss" production, in that it reduces the occurrence of "misses", but it cannot identify a "hit".

  • Thank you SO much for having me on the live show Mick & Dan! That was so much fun and an incredible nerdy honour!

  • I'm sorry, but the delivery on
"I think that is the mission statement of Ibanez "
    and
"I've looked at that amp" is perfection…
Adam is a comedian cosplaying as a brilliant guitarist.

  • I am not surprised at Dan choosing both David Gilmour and The Edge as TPS dream guests as they are surely the two best selling exponents of the guitar into an amp via MANY pedals of all time. Happy to be corrected but who else comes close to them? I don't just mean best sellers with large-ish pedal boards, I mean "out there" mind bogglingly complex rigs!
Just a thought Dan & Mick: Ok. It may be impossible to get those two on the show but would Phil Taylor and/or Dallas Schoo be an option?

  • Regarding amp in a box pedal into amp of same type. You had episode with JHS Charlie Brown and you find useing it as low gain drive into Victory Sheriff was your prefered, compared to Victory V40 ????

  • Favourite warmup excersizes:
Intro to Paradise city and House of the Rising sun, then solo from Smoke on the water.
Sometime I add Bad moon rising, but the complicated version, not just playing D,A,G ????
My guitar teacher is not fan of excersizes, he much rather give pieces of actual music to train your technique on, then spiders and what not.

  • Caught Adam opening for Ariel Posen here in the US just after the world started getting back to normal post-lockdown and he was a breathtaking performer and a heck of a nice guy! Glad to hear his career is doing well, he deserves every accolade.
