  • you might want to put your strap on that guitar when your sitting high up in a seat because if you drop that guitar and break it it will be hard to find a new/used one for sale and you don't want that to happen to you. Not only will you not drop the guitar and be more focused on holding unto to the guitar, but you will have more control with the guitar. My advice is wise and I'm telling you this because it will help your playing ability increase because I could help notice how you were having to grip the guitar more in your hand and hold it close to your body to have more control over the instrument. the notes you were playing were beautiful. I have seen too many times at bars and recording sessions where people would let go of their guitar because they were sitting up in a stool without a strap on. If you want to keep the guitar intact next time you will use a strap when you're in a stool. Have you heard the saying that it is smart to wear a helmet when your on a motorcycle?
well the strap is like a safety harness for your guitar. I had a friend from work who didn't wear a helmet on his motorcycle… you know what happened to him he is dead now! he ended up in a coma broke his leg and his arm because while he was on his motorcycle he refused to protect his head. the one thing that would have saved his life and prevented him from going into a coma and dying. your guitar is capable off falling out of your hands because you're capable of your grip becoming weak by holding unto the guitar for hours while performing in front of a live audience one day.

I happen to care. If you care about someone you will tell them the truth. When you get in a car with someone you know or love you tell them to buckle up right? driving a car can be dangerous. no one likes to hear the truth but the people who usually tell others what they need to hear they get scrutnized for telling when a person is being reckless. they need to hear the truth so they can avoid destruction of themselves and/or personal property. I hope this helps. I love you like a brother I hope you make better choices in the future. I own the same guitar and I enjoy it very much as well it is too bad the company stopped making them, if that one does ever break I'm pretty sure you can find another one ebay. But, if you want to avoid breaking that guitar you will wear a strap on when you're sitting up in a stool?!?!

  • This guitar has Mahogany Body, maple neck, real bone nut, rosewood fingerboard, humbucker pick ups , Grover tuners , stop tail bridge for a cheap guitar $230 new back in the early 2000s its still way better then some newer guitars double in price.

  • Its a cheap low quality electric guitar. My advice for buyers is to get acoustic instead then when you learn how to play (since you are looking at a review of a cheap guitar that means this is your 1st guitar), anyways learn how to play guitar then get a decent one for atleast 500$. You can get a good acoustic guitar for a price of a washburn wi14. Also washburn dont even sell these anymore so its either old stock ir local store or a copy 😛

  • I remember trying an original about a decade ago and loving the body shape. Out of curiosity I just decided to see if there were any used ones. I was surprised to see a new line up. I was really excited when I saw the Tele style! I was ready to buy one and started looking at the pics. Then I was like whoa, wait a minute…….where's the body contours. WTF! Son of a bitch…..why, why'd they do that. On the Telecaster style one they don't give it the arm or belly contour.

  • Hey, I have the same guitar, great demo! One question though – what is the scale length? I couldn't find any info from Washburn, but most of the websites say it's 24,75". However, I have measured mine and it's 25,5". So I wonder if mine got a wrong neck installed at the factory or if the websites have the wrong info.

  • Hi! I'm a guitar player. I've recently acquired the exact same model. Used. In my opinion, it sounds pretty good for a budget guitar, as long as you don't use the bridge pickup (poor tone, dynamics, and frequency range). I don't know if it's because of the pickups o just the overall construction of the guitar. And also goes out of tune very quick (10 minutes of gently playing!)
I'm looking forwards to upgrade the pickups (or just take out the bridge pickup and upgrade and use the neck one) and tuners to solve this issues. Do you think it'll be worth it?
P/D: your bridge position in the video sounds much better than mine o.O

  • Hey, I been playing for now 2 years and I was wondering is it worth upgrading?
I have a Yamaha Pacifica 012(the ones that come with an amp) and I'm switching it's pickguard so I will lose the humbucker.
I want to have 2 guitars (1 strat-like and other lp-like) is it worth it to buy or should I just stay with only the Yamaha?
