Huge Bad Monkey fan here – my favourite OD ever and the only one i would use live – a TS with bass that cut's through any mix in a 70's way. I've retired mine now as I didn't want it to break. Josh Scott was joking but correct – I'd take a monkey over a centaur every time.

It's hilarious that people think a Bad Monkey is a cheap Centaur. It's not. It emulates 1 Centaur sound at 1 setting. That's it. ????

Wow that Pic of Gary Moore???? Was it that bad as the story behind his awful scars was him going in a pub with a beautiful chic dressed in schoolgirl regalia and after defending her honour after two drunken degenerates gave her abuse, they ended up glassing him. Gary Moore had that Jeff Beck quality about him in that everything he did was entirely his own thing

Not Bad! Cool style of unison bends and vibrato.
I think if you learn how to flamenco roll and incorporated upstrokes while attacking the fretboard would make your playing more multi dimensional.

I didn't like my Bad Monkey so I gave it a banana then it turned into a Good Monkey.
i used to "endorse" digitech pedals. always saw the bad monkey and didnt really know what it was. had no idea gary used it.

Nice, I have the same fuzz, bought it used. I couldn't believe it when I saw it had the nkt172 red dots. It sounds really good, its always on for me, its worth the cost in batteries. Would love to hear how you think it compares to silicon fuzzes? I think there's a big difference in sound. Silicon sounds thinner and more metallic like to me. Germanium doesn't seem to effect your original tone as much.
