Thanks my friend!!
Hi from Toronto, I havent watched in a while but glad I saw this one so important in where im at. You really explain the art of this topic better than I have seen anywhere. Going to work on this way of digesting licks so its less worrying about memorizing and more on internalizing an approach that opens lots of freedom. Thank you.
I finally have heard someone explain the difference between a jazz lick and a good rhythm&blues lick. I could hear it but couldn't explain it
My first time watching you and I'm subscribing!
gracias
Great lesson Marc!
Lesson courte sans trop d'informations. J'apprécie ! Marc (de Gatineau)
Awesome, congratulations! I'm studied in Emesp Tom Jobim here in São Paulo Brasil! Thanks for the videos! =D
Always relaxing to listen to your videos, and congratulations to teach with so much passion.
Great lesson
You truly are a wonderful teacher. Love your style, brother!
Thank you!
Main problem with David Baker's Book : it's not realistic from a rhythm standpoint. That why I never recommand these 3 books about Bebop. Totally misleading for newbies (and uninteresting for others).
wow so cool man ! Thank you
As always since I started with the jazz guitar 8 years ago, thanks!!! I already finished my jazz career , and you still always surprised me with your shortcuts and concepts.
Great. Straight to the point. Quick and practical. Congrats.
Fantastic lesson! Thank you man
This scale works in the key of G when played in this position. Thanks, this is great.
Thank you for your content very helpful ????????
thanx a lot, it helped me a lot!!
Really great lesson, easy to follow which is impressive because I am not familiar with this style, but it sounds cool, thanks!!
Merci pour ces petits licks plein de finesse ????
There is something about jazz rhythm guitar with regard to inversions I am not sure about. Everyone talks about the guitar not playing the root on the 5th or 6th string, either don't play them or do inversions to not muddy up the piano/bass. Ok, I get that, but what if the bass and piano are playing the inversions, lets say an Em7/B. Is the B, the 5th, something we guitarists should not play on the 5th or 6th string because now it is acting as the root or can we still also play Em7 in 2nd inversion if we want to? I don't think I ever heard anyone explain this. Thanks!
Thanks. This was real fun and probably going to be useful, too.
I think this is gonna stick! THANKS
You are very much appreciated. I couldn't afford lessons when I was a kid and learned to play sort of haphazardly. This opportunity makes a great deal of difference in how I learn. So, I subscribe. It's the least I can do to say THANKS again.
great !
Love those "snappy" Lessons Marc-Andre. Jerry.
very good video Mark
My ex back in the 80s busted the head off a guitar it had a locking nut so I snipped off the strings an did a gig with it that night. My big hair got me through ????
These little "mini-lessons" are a treasure – Keep 'em coming!
greetings from BC …………more inspiration , thanks ….seems it expands around the G mixolidian base for endless be bop phrases (with added slides , chromatics etc) ……….
Yes, you have changed/advanced my playing. many times over the years. Thank you.
