Were the Marshall Reissue pedals all hype? Marshall Bluesbreaker Pedal Review and Demo.
A little over a year ago, Marshall released their reissue pedal range. This had followed around a week of rumours that they were on their way, which Marshall seemed to deny. As a result, the hype around the pedal was huge! I bought one … so, did I just fall for the hype … or are they actually any good? Let’s find out …

I bought a Gov’Nor reissue , and it is HORRIBLE !!!
If you wind the treble mid or beyond it does some weird out of phase sound ,
A guy i know has an original Guv’Nor and i have heard him play it live , and it is Unbelievable !!! Cranking !!! – hence i WANTED – NEEDED one .
There is definately a problem on the wiring on this pedal
I have a Carl Martin Plexi Ranger ; that is beautiful !!!
Even my old TS9 Tube Screamer is better than the Guv’ Nor
I would send it back but i already lost €90 on customs charges having it sent out of UK ;
So its cost me near €350 euros , for a pedal that is actually crap .
Ive been stung ,
If any way to get the wiring diagram , maybe my guitar tech here can do some tinkering ;
Of course i have to pay him for his hours , so more cost on a brand new pedal .
Better to pay for an original !!!
Jon Mayer and I both like it too. You can still get King of Tone. Apparently it is very different than the BluesBreaker that inspired it.
what amp are you using btw? sounds great
Paid over $380 for mine to be shipped from UK to Canada.
Not worth the cost. Cheap Amazon pedals can do the sound. I can’t even get $200 for it now.
