  • Now I can finally brag about making a video with Mia Khalifa!

Seriously though it was a fun collab!

  • The Vox pathfinder 15R is literally the best amp you can buy under $200. It has a cab out and spring reverb. I plug it into a 4×10 and it’s nuts.

  • Man Laney deserves better they have the Lionheart, the Ironheart, the Supergroup, the LA Studio with Two Notes installed, and their customer service is amazing!

KDH you’re cool, but Laney deserves at least B to A tier.

  • I have a Hughes & Kettner, sounds really good , wich I use mostly, I can plug it right into my mixer, love it good sound. also have a Fender blues delux(they really build good amps) , sounds like heaven , at the guitar store when i bought it, was the better sounding amp for sure from those I have tried, among those was blackstar didn't come close . I think those guys play metal and might not be keen to other styles of music . besides that , Do you guys play acoustic at all ?

  • "Ampeg just sounds like a bass". This tells me you haven't developed an ear for bass tone at all yet. A great bass sound is low end clarity with hugeness and those punchy, broken up/grinding mids (between 500 and 1000hz). A classic driven ampeg is one of the greatest bass sounds ever and it will make your electric guitars sound so much better. Listen to Chris Squire or classic rush albums with Getty Lee. It's a classic sound.

Also, if you want to hear ampeg electric guitar amps, listen to the cars debut record. If I remember right, it's a 70's ampeg head, and the guitar's all sound awesome.

  • Uncle Acid and the Dadbeats play Fender combos and they have rather heavy sound. Not a very high gain sound but still very metal.

  • Friedman is still pretty pricey in the u.s. from what I know, you can get some marshalls like the origin much cheaper than what an entry level friedman is.

  • I know your video is older. But I tend to lean towards Marshall of JCM800 to JMP-1. But I like Peavey's 5150 now really liking Hiwatt & Two Rock, then Dumble ODS which in a TONEX pedal. Another I tried out was the PRS Archon I think its spelled. I'm not into many Fenders.

  • This is like a typical reaction Video, where the host is drinking some unidientifable liquid from some ugly plastic box all the time…

  • Simply put, your tier list is simply crap and you seem to have no idea at all what you're talking about. Same goes if it's a totally subjective tier list because you still have no idea what you're talking about then.
Without a doubt Marshall, Fender, Mesa, Bogner and Ampeg belong in S tier. These are the most coveted and iconic amps ever that are still in high regard today despite of what some of them have been putting out lately. Friedman is a newcomer to the same tier but definitely also belongs there based on the quality and tone you get with them.
Then there are the A tiers – almost S but not quite. Orange, Hiwatt, Vox, Peavey, Laney. Again, the iconic ones, maybe not as legendary as the S tier ones.
Below that I guess you could argue from B to F as you want. However I find putting Line 6 in A particularly stupid. Yeah, they were and are still an impactful brand but definintely not among the top sound and quality wise.

  • The main reason Fender amps aren't known for excellent dirt tone is because of the speakers they're voiced with. Put a vintage 30 or a greenback in your Fender amplifier and it will become an overdrive beast!!
