It’s not often I plug into a pedal and immediately create a piece of music with it, but that’s exactly what happened with La Grotte. If you’re into Jack White’s music, you’ll love this and if not I don’t see how you can’t smile from ear to ear when plugging this in. It’s like making your way into a deep dark cave and plugging into a small Fender tweed.

Hey, Andy here! In this video, I’m diving deep into the La Grotte analog spring reverb pedal, a fantastic collaboration between Anasounds and Third Man Hardware (Jack White’s company!). This pedal isn’t just a reverb—it’s a creative tool that brings vintage tweed amp vibes right to your pedalboard. I’ll guide you through its simple controls, showcasing how it transforms different guitars like the Fender Deluxe Reverb and the Fender Player Series Strat. From gritty overdrives to spacious reverb, La Grotte delivers in spades. I’ll also push its limits with a fuzz pedal and even a bass guitar, giving you a complete look at its versatility. If you’re into creative soundscapes or chasing that Jack White tone, this is a must-watch. Don’t forget to subscribe for more gear reviews and demos!

  • This or the white whale v2?

This one has a cool dark dank vibe, but the whale does traditional and tremolo ????

  • FYI there's something weird going on with the English subtitles which loops the same two sentences during the second half of the video. Excellent review as usual nonetheless.

  • On dirait qu’il y a comme de la magie dans cette pédale : c’est la troisième vidéo que je regarde et chacun de ceux qui l’essayent finissent avec un sourire jusqu’au oreilles ! ????

  • That’s probabaly the best sounding small-box spring reverb pedal I’ve ever heard. The reverb is so massive, I suspected some digital reverb “assistance” like the Danelectro Spring King uses, but it’s apparently all due to having a third spring.

  • Do you have videos where you play different guitars on the same settings and equipment ? Your video on Baum Revolt left me wanting this. The sound was unreal. Unexpected. Nice if there had been several different guitars to compare with . Especially compared to other Baum guitars. But also to other completely different ones . Beginner here and I need to differentiate between what is the guitar and what is gear and pedals. So many more things to explore in the electric realm.
How do we remember settings? By ear or take notes ?

  • Heavy/Death metal here and I dream of this. Despite the thought that we're all metal all the time there's the urge to always break free.
Rebellion against the rebel if you will.
This thing sounds absolutely wonderful. It's so much tighter than traditional spring reverb.

  • How about in a FX loop? Or shoe-gazer music with it in front of the fuzz and the amp reverb up with tremolo.
