Rocktonight are Laura Macedo – voice and Marcelo Silva – guitar.
They met in a summer of 2010. Marcelo plays since he was 15 and he also has a sound technician course. At the time, he recorded a band where Laura was a vocalist. Laura only embarked on this artistic career later, but she soon realized that this was her path, and that journalism would be left behind.
Marcelo invited Laura to play with him in an acoustic format (guitar and voice). In 2012, what was a friendship grew into something more.
It was also in 2012 that they formed the band, where they added drums and bass and, later, an acoustic trio, with cajon. A way to adapt to any type of event and room.
The concerts are already many and a little across the country. Whether in acoustic or in band, Rocktonight can be found in bars, weddings, business events or popular parties.
About a year ago, they decided to explore this YouTube channel and started releasing videos every Thursday. You can find on the channel covers in rock or metal themes well known in Portuguese and international music.
Marcelo produces everything. From drums, bass, guitars and other instruments. The arrangement is all part of his creativity. Mixing and mastering are also in charge. Laura is responsible for recording the most alternative voices and melodies. It is also up to her to edit the video and all the communication of the project.
In addition to the covers, Marcelo also reviews the equipment they have available. He considers that these reviews are useful when it is necessary to choose between one equipment and another. Even because he always looks for reviews on YouTube when he wants to buy something.
From time to time, they also share with their staff some opinions and events in their lives.
