  • When will you be releasing patch demos or play throughs if you two newest song specific patches (mighty name of Jesus and I know that I know)? They don’t show up in the purchase window and I’d like to hear them before deciding to purchase them. Is the link broken or they haven’t been added yet?

  • Is Sunday keys a VST or ? I’m not sure what I would be purchasing????I love the way it sounds though! I do have a Nord that I use for Sunday service, sometimes I like to use my midi board as an aux for pads and colors. I need Sunday keys!

  • I enjoyed this. I am in the process of joining a worship team (acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drums, kettle drums) at a new church we've been going to since January 1. Their keyboard sits empty, so this is where I'm hoping they'll let me play by Easter in April. The challenge for me is that their keyboard is a Roland RD800, which is different from the Yamaha I have at home. And they don't do weekday practices! So, I've been going to the church during the week to learn the keyboard voices on my own, and experimenting on pad combos with piano. Without a band when I'm there, it's a guess of what voices I'm looking for. No manual for the keyboard either, except what I can find on YouTube. Any suggestions to be better prepared for that first time I'll be playing?

  • Did I hear you right, that across the land we are just covering popular worship songs? Hey, our God is creative, so are you! Write your own songs, express your heart! We are fortunate to play over 80% own songs in our church. Be encouraged! Less copy/paste! Less stress to mimic and sound like others! Be blessed!

  • Great tips! One of my favorite times in rehearsal and worship service is when the team is locked in together. We have played long enough together we can tell where we are headed by musical ques. We have learned each others styles.

  • Another pro tip – find that "right sound" during your own private rehearsal time. One new phenomenon I've noticed with the Sunday Keys App is the Analysis Paralysis that comes from having an ever increasing number of options on this app. MILLIONS more possible combinations going from 5x to 15x sounds, the SSPs, and now editable pads. As a guitar player, I originally found the SK as a way to fatten up our 3 pc band setup with keys triggered from my guitar's midi pickup and the tonic pads. Once we got a keyboard player and introduced them to the app, I can't count the number of hours we've spent in group rehearsal watching them tinker trying to find "that" sound while we all stand there. PLEASE get that straight before rehearsal OR just go with something that's close enough to get through if you couldn't find the time. We've decided not to update to the latest SK release until we get that under control b/c the new pads will only add to the tinkering.

  • Thanks for the great advice. I’ve learned to do about half of it, but you made several good points I want to incorporate into my preparation and playing.

  • Another pro tip is always have a ‘jam’ patch. Doesn’t matter what instrument you play. Have a patch or easy access setup on standby that has some core sounds for anything thrown at you so you can handle what comes out of the pastor’s mouth like ‘play xyz’…bam over to the jam patch.

  • One question I have is should I use a bass sound layered in with my keys sounds when there is someone else that is playing bass?

  • Hi David, just want to appreciate you and the team for the job you’ve done on building out this app. I use it every Sunday I’m scheduled to play keys and have done so for the last year. It’s made my job as an MD and keys player much easier.

I have a request, I would love if there was a way I could play a loop track within the app that can sync to the metronome and tempo set within the app. This is the missing piece in my setup. It would be great if this was considered as a feature in the future. Praying for wisdom and grace as you continue to develop the app for us all to use to the glory of God.
