Oh yeah I agree.
Yep, now just got to convince the financial controller… ????????????
I'll take a 5 when playing lower notes that require the low B, but not for a low D, in that case i'd use drop D just bc drop D tunning Is so cool and fun ando wouldnt like to change the bass un the middle of a gig
I use both 4 & 5 strings depending on if they either have set tunings or I need the the extra range. There are times I get tunings where I need to downtune and I can only get that tuning on a five string.
Five string basses are much more shift friendly than four string. The extra five low register notes, plus the fretted E on the B string are also an added bonus. I'm with you man!
Don’t give any suggestions Dan. I’ll buy it in a second. ????
Kidding aside. I’m still trying to master my 4 string. Maybe in the future. And maybe than a crossover between a p and a jazz bass. Like a few videos before. Greetings buddy
Great if you like the muddy sound.
All the great songs of the 60's and 70's have how many 5 string basses? 0
VERY NICE
Love the the low Eb —> B on the 5-string plus the ability to play around the 4th or 5th fret and get notes comfortably. The pitch between strings is also narrower than on a 4-string which is another plus.
I only have 5 string I just love having that low B string then I can get in the keyboard players way
Thats my argument why guitar is easier than a bass basically ???? more strings = easier access to the notes you need
