Why I Waited To Try The Fender Player II Telecaster

Six months after Fender introduced the Player II series, I finally felt comfortable checking out the Telecaster from this lineup. In this video we’ll explore my reasoning for waiting so long, my personal history with telecasters and my first impressions right out of the box.

Gear used in this video:
Fender Player II Telecaster
Keeley Electronics Super Bass Overdrive/Distortion
Keeley Electronics Compressor Plus
Keeley Electronics Octa Psi
Keeley Electronics Caverns Delay/Reverb
Logic Pro X – Mini Black Panel Amp Sim w/ 1×10″ Cab and SM57 IR

This video is not sponsored by Fender or Sweetwater, but I did buy the guitar here: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/TeleP2RBG–fender-player-ii-telecaster-electric-guitar-birch-green-with-rosewood-fingerboard

  • I just purchased a player II chambered tele. I love how lightweight it is. I ordered a 4 way switch wiring harness for it. Once that comes in I’ll definitely be running through and shielding the cavities. Overall loving the guitar in its stock form.
