John, my guitar, which is identical to yours, often has a short circuit in the piezo electric under the strings. In that case, I fix it by pressing or moving the piezo electric. Can you advise me on how to solve it permanently? The luthiers I have consulted have told me that it has no solution since it is a manufacturing defect of that piezo. Thank you very much for your response!!!
When demonstrating intonation you want to use jazz chords with NO OPEN STRINGS. A 12th fret test like you did are not so accurate, particularly with non CNC made boxes.
Just bought a cutaway version
today
muito diferente
I have had an APX-6NA since 1997, with a satin finish and a cutaway. It is in perfect condition as if it had been bought yesterday, and it has already follow me even to camp in the middle of the Brazilian hinterland. The sound remains amazing and soft, and I love it as if it were a pet. It was made in Taiwan in the Kaosiung's Factory.
Thumbs up if you have ever owned something and thought of selling it until you heard player by somebody talented? 🙂
Great review and beautiful playing.
I waited right to the end of the video and there was no secret hidden track!!
Not even a trailer for the next John Coupland video… :_(
Hello darkness, my old friend… 6:39–8:45
Been a while since I checked in with your videos, Youtube is a bit silly these days with subscriptions. Nice to see you updated your camera. Looks and sounds a lot clearer. Beautiful guitar (that mid control though!)
I could listen to you for hours, playing guitar. Which is why I got your albums on the good ole' apple music! 🙂
Nice! Out of interest….how often do nylon strings need changing?
