  • I bought a turquoise second hand one 2 weeks ago to find out what the fuss was about. I've played everything. This is an absolute steal on the second hand market. It looks great, plays great and sound great. Believe the hype. I've popped a DeArmond Tone Boss in it for live shows. Done.

  • The sound is more a function of mic quality, placement, pre-amp quality, players ability etc. This sounds like crap mic or poor placement. I definitely wouldn't rely on the "sound" from a you video unless they detail how and what with recorded. He should describe the level of set-up, quality, feel, and anything unusual. And then tells us whether he believes it sounds good with maybe a bit of description of the sound. Then we can decide if we want to take 30 days from MF to try one out. 🙂

  • Y'all are saying, "it sounds like crap." But everything is different in person. And at the same time it's blues or something. I don't know myself but I heard of the playing style a lot now more than oftenly. The guitar itself sounds good. It's a different style of playing. Probably blue grass or blues or something. But understand the style before judging so harshly on something you haven't physically experienced yourself.

  • How would the FS820 compare to Eastman's PCH? Both listed at $ 279. Both have solid spruce tops and laminated "mahagany" back and sides. Thanks.

  • I have to agree with the other reviewers. This is one of the best entry level acoustic guitars in the market but the sound coming out of this video, including the choice of song and playing skills are terrible. For those not familiar with the FS series, please do not let this video stop you from checking this guitar. You will love the true sound and playability of the FS 820 or 830. Honestly, this video should be deleted from YouTube.

  • gotta love when a dipshit is so confident in his meager abilities he is just blissfully unaware how dog shit his playing sounds.

It's not even that his "style" is unsuitable for this guitar – it's that his "style" is some bullshit ham-fisted white man "soul."

what we see here is the musical instrument equivalent of date rape

  • Hi, which strings do you recommend for it? Thinking the d'addario 12-53 or the ernie ball 11-52. Thanks!
