  • I subscribe to your channel because the audio is always of nice quality, your songs clearly original, and your playing is right in the ballpark. This video features some of your great music clips. Boy what I wouldn't do to get a string of your music playlisted. What I always ask of all YT uploaders, please share your music. And Thank You, these teasers are all killer.

  • Thinner body acoustic guitars lack the great tone of a dreadnaught guitar.

  • Electric is easier because of lighter strings and the fretboard is easier to play on.

  • A huge impact here is volume. I need instrument that can be quiet. I think an acoustic would suit me the most, but for now I think electric is my best choice.

  • If you’re a kid who practices while sitting on the edge of a bed or on the couch there is only one good choice in my opinion. Get a slim guitar that allows you to see the frets and strings while holding the guitar in a good playing position.

  • The day that I played something and I found my eyes welling up with tears., been an acoustic guy ever since!

  • A mid range acoustic gets my vote, no other equipment required, why invest until you really see if it's something your really going to invest yourself.

  • Started at age 33. On acoustic. Although I really LOVE the electric guitar sounds. I love both equally. IMO for singers or those that like to sing and play as I do I would would say start on acoustic. I started on a full size dreadnought and I’m a 5’7 guy with shorter arms and had no issues. But for younger smaller players I recommend a shorter scale and a smaller body. I did however start off with 9 gauge strings and worked my way up to 12 gauges. I recommend the smallest guage strings you can go with first playing. For me I prefer 12s now because I strum really hard. This also taught me how to efficiently change strings myself (another plus for acoustic). Imo if Just starting off find the one that’s easiest to play for YOUR fingers preference. IMPORTANT! I would also recommend buying your first guitar in store where an experienced tech can adjust the action to ensure the guitar is playable enough and has NO FRET BUZZ. Online you don’t know what you’re getting and can’t physically test. Then if you try to take the online one bought somewhere to get set up you’ll get the snooty remarks from the tech, “where did you buy this thing from?”
SINGERS FYI…you may find yourself getting rid of your first several guitars for the one that sounds best with YOUR voice. I did. Another advantage for the acoustic you can take it anywhere, no amp or electricity needed and pick it up anytime without plugging. I do have an electric now but for in general and singing I tend to pick up my acoustic the most.

  • I live in an apartment with no friendly neighbours. I love campfire songs – can I practice them on electric guitar or is it mandatory an acoustic guitar? (the purpose is to start learning how to use a pick). Thanks!

  • Go with electric I've been playing guitar since age 13…electric is just easier and forgiving…that will motivate you more in the beginning stages of learning the guitar.

There is nothing wrong in learning the acoustic first but its just a tad bit demanding physically and trust me there is a different learning curve for acoustic guitars.

  • I'm torn. I love the wide variety of possible sounds you can get with an electric, plus they look better (in my opinion), but on the other hand an acoustic is way more affordable and I'd rather fingerpick, which, from what I've understood, eliminates electric as an option, unless I've been misled and you CAN fingerpick an electric then it's a clear cut choice. I need help ????

  • I did a year of acoustic but i wanna do electric ? So what do i do? Btw i CANNOT afford a 15k rupee (idk 600 dollars) guitar at all so how do i find a cheap brand that doesnt fail me in a week?

  • I tried a jumbo acoustic and abandoned it for being unwieldy and a decade later started again with a superstrat, merely purchased bc i can practice quietly. The difference in comfort is astounding. My next rig will very likely be an acoustasonic when/if i graduate to acoustic for similar reasons.
